Wow! the sky has gone purple! Changed in seconds, at last it's actually stopped raining.

You're OK you live closer to the North Pole, than most of the rest of us!:cold-emoji:

Oddly enough, despite the low temps we get here, snow is a rarity. Decent snow anyhow

Mostly light rain zipped through pretty quickly here today, so not a patch on Monday's soaking fortunately. Just all in all a disgusting day... again!

Evening all, another soaking today and some of the roads flooded on the way home from work in Romsey.

Looks like my son's football could get postponed this weekend in the new forest.

That'll make it 3 games so far this season.

Anyway on to better news......day off tomorrow 🤗🤗.

Might pay them to change it to water polo, with the current rainfall amounts and still looking set for some more by the look of it. Certainly is a fair amount of laying water around, some of the roads round here were like rivers with run-off from the heath.

Rain stopped. Finished with 38.2mm since midnight,  41.2mm for the past 24 hours.

Places in Wool seem to report even more than you receive, must be a damp alley along there!

Adults or children’s football? My team Westbury United are due to play in the New Forest at Bashley this Saturday.

There’s a few of us in this thread with involvement in local adult leagues.

Yes, being in a low-lying frost pocket at the base of the Chilterns doesn't help when mild air can just pile over the top.

Bashley used to be a good side back in the 90s.

Let us know how you get on Andy.

Bournemouth Electric FC were the top dogs in the now sadly gone Bournemouth League.Saddest thing for me is that in the last 6 years 500k youngsters have packed in Saturday afternoon football.Sadder still when talking to my mate's sons is why they are no longer interested.I feel blessed now looking back playing with quality players in quality football who have become lifelong friends.

It can be up to 8c warmer in Henley than Benson, even though both are by the river because of the Chilterns

Morning All, a bright (plenty of blue) start to the day, after the overnight low of 4.2°C at: 05:31, currently 9.2°C, RH97% and light air movement from the SSW. Still plenty of run-off from the heath.
