And on the setting of the sun.....

After the fairly sh!te wet morning, the PM pulled itself together, although everything is still wet from the earlier downpour, but some sun  provided a pleasant afternoon.

Local kids football leagues were cancelled as they has insufficient galoshes for all the teams...

Glad it stopped raining eventually this afternoon as one of the sets of outdoor Christmas lights stopped working so needed to replace them. When out of the breeze it felt quite pleasant in the sun with how mild it was. I'd prefer it cold of course but still it felt quite nice for a time.

Spent the last 4 days in the west of Ireland and got a taste of some pretty brutal wind and rain, the sort that stops you sleeping. It's amazing how it always seems to be a notch more intense than what we get here in the SW.

We don’t get gales like we used to round here. I remember some real roarers growing up in the 90s. 
 

Hardly surprising Ireland gets pummelled more than we do though I’d have thought.

Morning All, somebody put a pound in the solar meter overnight I see, glorious start. The overnight low of 8.2°C at: 07:24 has struggled up to 9.0°C, RH89% and light air movement from the SW.
