Don't say the hubby has mowed the lawn?

No, so the MIL has a cold and cancelled her trip.

Oh, I am so sorry, I know how much you were looking forward to torching the broom.

No to both of those. Just feeling fed up with the weather. It's the worst! And of coruse mil coming in a matter of days ...

OK, so the weather's sh!t3 and the MIL arrival is sh!t3, but over time both things will change, as the broom will eventually head Northbound . I think we knew we were going in to a back ended season, and so far it's running true to expectation, even the December high is a classic "yuk" affair. Watching the MOD shows nobody really has a clue beyond a few days as it's all over the place. Meanwhile have you considered one of these for the MIL?

Really stodgy over in the fields now. Not much drained away during the 'dry spell'. Awful.

Just spoke my Mother. Her taxi picks her up in 20 mins to whisk her and her mates off to their flight to Southern Spain for a month. ☀️😭

Today has ‘slow frontal cloud clearance with clear sky after sunset’ written all over it!

Followed by cloud filtering in from dawn onwards tomorrow…

Interesting as I saw the change earlier, as shown on the graph below, the wind changed to the N, the amount of solar briefly increased, and the temperature dropped.

My temperature sensor stayed at 13.1°C  for 4 ½ hours  yesterday!

9.6mm of rain this morning.

Still spitting, but signs of it moving away. Looking forward to a starry night.

The sun ALMOST made it before setting, the sky looked as though it was breaking , but it wasn't successful. Total amount of clear liquid 11.3mm.
