Well, both the short range models I check have us with full cloud all day & I'm sat out in 'milky sunshine' that still has a bit of strength to it.......any excuse to sit out & stretch the eye balls is welcome this time of Year!!!

Gray-Wolf A decent day at the coast as well.

Lunchtime brought 10c, with sunshine and a force 2-4 E wind. Some very high cloud, but the main thing is NO RAIN, after yesterdays grey damp drizzle.

The farmers on the Wolds seem to be getting back on to the land again, several tractors out doing field work, although I suspect the lower lying areas are still waterlogged.

mike57 my neighbour was 'drilling' until 10pm tonight at the farm he manages, 'got to get on whilst you can' was his mantra when he messaged me this evening.

After some early rain a fairly decent day.

More wind at lunchtime, never good for cycling, winds force 4-6 S. 12c and plenty of sunshine with well broken cloud.

Has been an okay week so far  - tomorrow to Sunday also looks quite nice away from the showers. The strength of the sun means it still feels pleasant. More in the way of cloud and rain for Easter Monday. We seem to be doing better than other parts of the county!

Rain's arrived, absolutely tipping it down on the Wolds, more rain that we really don't need 🙄

A nice day yesterday, sunny and light winds. I was able to cut some fire wood and cut up some 8x4 sheets of plywood for a woodwork project, which needed a fine calm.day.

Awoke this morning to a frozen car windscreen which was unexpected car temp showing 2-3C.

A light frost this morning.Mrs Ponti is not happy. The low forecast was 4 Deg it went down to 1.4.She normally moves her plants and seedlings from the greenhouse to the shed when the forecast is low.Last night she did not.

Such a variable morning here ..
Alternating between sunshine and spells of chilly mist.
Happy Easter all .

Back in North Yorkshire for the first time this year and it rained all the way to Leeds which was a nuisance on the motorways. Rain had stopped by the time I arrived on the coast and has stayed dry but mainly cloudy since. Terribly wet and muddy underfoot and streams running down to the coast are all full, obviously reflecting the weather of the past few weeks. I was taken back to Easter Monday, 1st April 2018, which was very wet in the Region but was followed by a sunny day on the 2nd until early evening when we had a memorable and quite frightening 45 minute thunderstorm near Whitby. I wonder whether we might get a repeat in 2024.

A rainy start to April according to the GFS - but at least it will be mild / close to average, so nice in any sunshine. If anything close to the 0z, we may at least be the least wet part of the country! On the plus side i can feed and reseed parts of the grass without having to worry about watering..

Not to bad today, light winds at lunchtime, force 2-3 W, 11C and mainly sunny. At least the ratio of better days to wet days seems to be improving, but any persistent rain still runs off as the ground hasnt dried out.

Some signs of showers, but nothing here

Turned out to be a fairly decent day on the Moors and at Whitby. Some bright sun, some cloud and I thought at one stage we were going to get a shower or storm but nothing came of it. I was told that away from the coast, the Moors and area around Pickering were very foggy early but even that cleared up later. More of the same tomorrow please so that families on their Easter holidays can continue to enjoy themselves in the area.

Another horrible morning, foggy and wet

Went for a later bike ride after the rain finally stopped. Wind force 3-4 SE, 11C and some gaps appearing in the clouds.

Didnt get wet from above but another wet spell has added to the general level of water and mud on the roads, arrived home in a filthy state and had to change.

Pished it down leaving work around 5.15, treacherous leaving Bridlington, that was followed up by a few beefy showers upto 6.30 at home, hopefully cleared for the evening 🤞

Dry today, but a cold N wind and grey skies.

Lunchtime brought 7C, wind N force 3-4 and 100% cloud.

More rain forecast over the weekend which we could do without.

Turned very mild but humid at the coast this afternoon, 16c. Some sunshine, but a lot of rain we didn't need overnight. Fields south of Brid via Driffield towards Beverley are still waterlogged with plenty of standing water, it's been like it for months now.

Went to Goyt valley this morning. Both dams full and overflowing but not a lot going over. Very rare too see anything these days going over the spill way which I guess is due to the high demand put on the dams these days.
