The stat I took from that Met analysis of February that it was so dull. In fact, the two most dull places were East Sussex and the very tip of Cornwall where my daughter and her family live!

Morning all, a lovely sunny start to the working week, makes getting up and starting work much easier 😊

Looks a bit of a mixed bag this week, but some useable weather mixed in.

I don't take much note of long range forecasts but did read the Met Office one, mentions strong winds at times in the South and unsettled with Rain!!....Hopefully wrong.

Back when there was no fear of yellow or amber warnings

Back when there was not a name giving to a low pressure system claiming it is a storm

Back when, before social media hype took over

**The good ole days**

Neilsouth Yep not helpful when you plan your working day accordingly and you are self employed working outside.Forecast only 40 miles out but that makes a huge difference to a lot of people. In this day and age it just shows there is nowhere near 100% accuracy even 12 hours beforehand!Frustrating but the weather will do what it wants to do!!

Hotspur62  kold weather It was really bad Canterbury south, yet Herne Bay was sunny all day!  Some areas got hit and I'm surprised no warnings were given, considering how long the rain fell and when it started

Back just in time to find out what everyone is having for dinner, what bin to put out tomorrow and why the police helicopter has been out 😛

I’m not sure what we did before Zuckerberg 🥹

Snowangel-MK well having no social media footprint whatsoever, i find talking a good substitute. 😄  😉

Misty cool morning here, funny how things are relative, the nights seem colder lately then most of winter. the sun is stronger yet temps are hovering in low teens. I need more warmth on my bones 😄

I've barely paid any attention to anything weather for weeks. Having had a glance through the meto extended outlook on their site for the 1st time in close to a month, and I remember why I've not been interested. Rain... a welcome change from the rain we've recently had to be fair. I'd hate to think the ground could possibly dry out! How awful that would be!!!!!

Personally, I'm not quite sure ive been drenched enough just yet so am super excited to looking like a drowned rat once again.  Does any of this post sound sarcastic in any way? 😛

Before anyone also highlights how poor forecast accuracy appears to be of late. I'd quickly point out that if the forecast is anything other than rain, it goes a bit wonky. So given its quite favourable towards a wet outlook.. you could be almost certain it's the one time the forecast comes true

Here's a challenge for you. I will be going to Europe later this month for Easter, and while my original plan was to go to the tulip fields, looking at the long rangers for the Netherlands looks suspiciously like our current weather whenit gets to Easter, with the jet stream trapped to the south and damp drizzly weather on the cards. Do you agree? Should I head further south into southern France with a higher chance of sun?

The sun does feel wonderful when it comes out but the wind is still very bitter but definitely starting to feel more like spring.
