its unprecedented for me not to hear at least one rumble of thunder before may is out, still waiting, nothing much in the long term to suggest a thundery spell, like I said earlier I have a gut feeling this is going to be another poor year, but possibly even worse than I am accustomed to over the years, I know its been debated before but I think there has been some kind of climatic shift away from occasional thundery weather here to almost non existent, 2 storms last year was the lowest count ever, then nothing after july , and nothing since, I have a horrible feeling the storm count this year will be just 1 , or unthinkably 0

I am in my forties now and the summers do not feel any warmer than in the seventies and eighties, though the stats could prove me wrong, We were supposed to have a Mediterranean climate by now according to those predictions in the late seventies, well for southern England at least , so thats not happening , and never will, only thing I have noticed for my location is less snow in winter , but fewer thundery spells in summer, December 2010 was the coldest snowiest month I have ever witnessed , -14c at 3.00pm in the afternoon , astonishing

oh yawn, they have been saying this for decades, since the global warming hype started in the 80's , still yet to see a summer with sustained heat as 1976

there was a little thundery activity over this area a couple of nights ago during the early hours

that was very me, my friend heard the thunder, he said only one rumble, I was asleep , and one bolt does not make a storm , *off back to the NSC*

Ha yes, and so the Lincolnshire storm season begins, as for the rest of us do we really have a season ?, here its just a couple of days annually

I am picking some new curtains and buying a nice comfy sofa for this no storms club room , its going to be a long term affair this year I feel, I have a gut feeling its going to be yet another poor year for storms here, its seems they get less year on year to the point where there might be no thunder days recorded within a 12 month window wonder if that has actually happened before here, not in my lifetime , but the way things are going its a possibility

just goes to show how naff we are for thunderstorms

last year we only got 2 storms, and one weak thundery shower, all up to and including july, after that zilch, right up to today so, are they any signs of a plume in the models, doesn't look much yet,

yes an april fool looks like our first 20c is going to be a while now,it will be at least may 15th for my neck of the woods , a random guess , but would not be surprised at this rate

I agree with this , many say this winter is a big improvement on last ? how is it ??? , not been cold and snowy enough , and no decent storms either for the likes of me, its been a drab boring no mans land of dross for months now , roll on spring and summer , I can nearly taste it now , at least we may get some torrential downpours and convective cloudscapes

locally it must be below average here, cant believe the cet is above, its felt cold and gloomy every day apart from last saturday but one, only 7c again here today, like most days

apart from some distant lighting, not actually heard thunder here since last july ! which is shocking so well and firmly back in here, did get out in the first half of 2014, but since this is from july onwards I think I need to be in here again, lets see how long i am stuck in here, it may be a while, could this be the year I never get out, our local storm shield gets stronger year on year

well it looks like it will be sometime april before we even get into the teens here, apart from last saturday, march has felt cold here, with most days struggling to get above 8c

I have a feeling its going to be april now before anywere gets that magic 20 , well not here, quite confident of that, but I have been wrong before
