    Starting to lightly snow here.Every flake that settes on bare patches is not melting.Anyone know if anything is coming Manchester way?

    I suppose on one level it is purely the visually transformative effect it has but there is certainly more to it....I'll have to mull this over.

    Absolutely freezing with that windchill,the wind has certainly picked up.

    I have to say ,even for here 2cm of patchy snow cover is pretty bad.......usually get more than this but hey ,it's better than nowt.

    Not where I am in the west though what has fallen is staying around for now . The temperature is 1c in Eccles but other parts of salford are -0.8c.Looks pretty messy out there what with not enough cover so there is that chess board effect. Same here

    2cm or so ....snow light at the moment........................where is this bandat the moment,any images of the latest radar.

    Really pepped up here now......continuously the heaviest snow there has been here and ,though still patchy due to gritting ,there is a good covering building up to about 0.5cm in places,1.5cm where wind blown.....it is warmer than anticipated I have to say,1.5c currently,though still bitter with wind chill.

    The snow is accumalating so slowly I had not noticed it...I was really quite surprised looking out the window just now.Anyone else still have falling snow?

    Yes.....I can count the times on one hand where I have seen drifting snow at my location.....I have only ever really experienced blizzard conditions high up,the last time being on the Snake Pass.

    Yes,this is what I thought.What is sunusual to see for me though is WIND with snow ...it does not often happen here........it is usually very calm when it snows.

    Same here.Usually I am very cautious but this time I got carried away and I paid for though now i've just give up on any hope and it is such a relief..no hope.

    Was there any snow in manchester from the feb 1996 event?....I'm not sure if im remembering the correct event ,I remember there was snow that winter ,about 6 odd inches.

    I really do feel for you,I have been there so may times....not much better where I am,just a very patchy covering.
