    Aw man ,i'm so jealous you being so close to the pennines...I just see em behind Manchester skyline from where I am,occasionally get my mater to drive me up to the snake pass in the worst of weathers...more fun for me than him.

    Well i'm done for here now ,going to look at some virtual snow in the elder scrolls[thats a computer game]...just a final look a the temperature and a further fractional rise of 0.1c,now it's 2.1c........I do hope this stops and reverses soon.

    lol......aye ,the tv coverage is doing my head in in proportion to the lack of snow coverage I have here.....I get like a vicarious embarassment thinking about what foreigners who hale from colder parts must think of the hysteria....sigh.

    That is the temp here and I am quite some way from Manchester city centre.I would have though I'd be a touch colder.

    Someone on the news called the weather extraordinary and I thought ,well yeah ,if this was Nigeria..to be fair though in places the weather has been pretty extreme.

    These things i have considered but to be fair we don't know the exact synoptics for the near future so we really don't know....well this is what I tell myself anyway.

    I noticed yesterday your temps were higher than other members ..much like mine.I am quite near a town centre though and my location is really low..other parts near here [a mile or so] are colder as I'm sure is the case where you are.

    Well we had snow but it has mostly gone now...hgot about 2cm from the event yesterday.

    Well the media have gone snow crazy now and this alone is annoying but coupled with the fact that there was 2cm here yesterday which has all but vanished now ...well,I'm a bit sck of it....yesterday a news 24 special on bbc1 about the snow,absolutely ridiculous.

    I'm ritually avoiding bbc weather foecasts now as every fricken snow event is missing us.

    In some places with very little snow cover and cloud I would expect it to hardly reach zero.This most certainly will be the case where I am with a temp now of 1.9c and very patchy snow cover and cloud.

    Thats exactly what it looks like here,very slow thaw with a temperature now of 1.9c and with a couple cm of snow it doesn't have a chance

    Hardly anything here for hours and the last snow that was remotely intense was at about 5pm
