just looked out the window and said to mum, look it's not snowing now but it will in a second, all of a sudden whoooosh, it's coming down pretty heavy now.
Had a bit of sleety drizzly stuff here in Dover. Nothing to be excited about at the moment... later this week I'm hoping for a repeat of January when we got 1ft of snow lol.
I must say, Even if we don't get another cold spell this winter (I think we will see more) this winter has already been the best I've seen (only being 17) the foot of snow that fell last week was the most I've seen. Here's to more cold spells and snow!
It's tipping down in Dover now... it woke me up as we only have half a roof at the moment, no tiles. Saying my last goodbyes to our lying snow now, it's being erased!
it seems to all be going around Dover, on the Radar  yes it is very light snow here but looking on the radar its nothing to be excited about at the moment for us
Nothing in Dover, but it looks like it may start soon! Hopefully there's no sleet and rain in it but the met office website is now suggesting there wont be
The thaw literally stopped here yesterday and we still have a couple of inches (maybe more on the grass) left over from the foot we did get. Sunday was bad though as water was dripping everywhere.
I'm hoping the warm(er) spell doesn't last too long before we hopefully go back to the cold(er) weather
meteogroups Europe radar shows snow deteriorating rather than growing whilst crossing the north sea http://www.meteogroup.co.uk/uk/home/weather/radar/europe.html
Why is that? it just seems to 'vanish'
unless it's what's behind it heading towards brussels at the moment which is what we need to keep our eyes on? if it keeps it's current path and keeps growing we will be hit
Sleet in land? We've had snow showers all night off and on here in Dover and we're pretty close to sea level... also the thaw hasn't really set in yet. only snow that has melted is on roofs really.
Here in Dover there doesn't seem to be a drip drip event happening at the moment. the gutter isn't dripping from the snow on the roof, it was for a little while in the afternoon though. unsure on the temperature here though.
On accu*'s hour by hour weather they're now saying snow for Dover from 12am onwards... that wasn't there earlier they were just saying a few showers a few hours ago... so dunno where that is coming from either... do forecasters know something we don't?
