  1. Morning Snowlovers!! Well after witnessing some of the biggest snowflakes i've ever seen last night, it seems we've had nothing but the lightest of snizzle since last midnight. Snowing very lightly in the glow of my streetlamp so i'm hoping for much heavier accumalations today. Which band of ppn are you looking at/talking about k66yla? That band rotating up from the channel? It's just that i thought we were in for convective off the North Sea today...
  2. Thanks very much Nick for taking the time to do that. Very much appreciated.
  3. As i'm a complete amateur Nick, would you please mind giving me a very brief outline as to what to expect over the next few days in our area please? Regards, Lee.
  4. Our's is too. Where's my snow? What's going on? Someone mentioned 24 hrs of snow around our area....
  5. Considering you've a bit more altitude there we're not doing too bad here! Easy a couple of cm's already i'd say.....
  6. BLOODy Hell, These flakes are HUGE!!!!!! Never seen anything like it....:lol:
  7. How long is it likely to go on for? The rain today site has the snow fairly whacking through? I did read reports it would hang about all night or thereabouts...Perhaps i'm wrong though.
  8. Just down the road Mr M. My lampost (right outside our bedroom window) is still untroubled by any white flakes however....
  9. Been more or less an ice day here today and with (currently) -1.4°c and -3.5°c dewpoint, it should settle straightaway! IF we get any of course.... Edit to say that according to raintoday, the band approaching us seems to be more sleety.... Wattsupwiththat?
  10. Just down the road from you Loafer, looking pretty sweet for us i think (hope)....
  11. Just been to Sainsbury's here in Tonbridge and the shelves looked like a plague of locusts had swept through!! I wonder whether the panic buying is justified though??? What are West Kent's chances tonight if anyone knows?
  12. oooohhhh! saucer of milk over to you....:o Unfortunately our local weather staion website isn't currently on update mode at the moment. Here So i'm afraid i don't know but even just going outside it isn't cold, not like the 'winters of old' we once had. Jesus...
  13. Ha ha!! As a newbie i don't understand the charts as well as the more experienced of you. Judging by those isobars on your chart, is that going to be a weak, moderate or reasonably strong Easterly?
  14. Hi John , how are you? Hope for a bit of sledging soon eh?!
  15. I'm a bit miffed though as to where these bitter temps are TEITS? Some saying the coldest winter for a generation but still mildish here at the mo in Tonbridge. I appreciate that IMBY may not be where the most snow, lowest temps are etc but for a generational cold spell i want to know where it is????? 1991 it aint here!
  16. Haven't had much time to keep up with model output, just a quick scan really. When are the real bitter temps due to hit us..still mild here -0.3°c.. And how about the snow, when's the fun really due to begin?
  17. Is it looking better for snow now in Kent? It was all further North last time I looked...
  18. Just down the road from you SB and was just about to post that we had around an inch! Good times and hope we get more!!
