Early rain over western Britain is expected to turn to snow as it spreads eastwards during Sunday. Snow cover is likely to be very variable, with some places seeing little settling, others 2-4 cm, and with the potential for 10 cm or more over parts of the Midlands, Kent an Essex, especially later in the day. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption, particularly to travel.

Just off the A421 between MK and Buckingham. Sat on a rise locally known as windy ridge for good reason!

Large soggy flakes falling here, started very slowly about an hour ago but falling slowly but steadily now
I don't know where in MK ish you are but it's just horrible drizzle here, my walk only lasted about half an hour instead of the usual hour it's just nasty out there

The whole country could be Âblanketed by snow this weekend with as much as EIGHT inches due to fall in some areas.
I like how they say the whole country and then print a snow map showing the areas expected to be affected....so obviously people outside of this area are no longer part of this country !!

Maybe its time to split the thread again.
Well at the moment we are all very much in the same boat so I can't see the point...but that might change if some need sledges and others don't
Anyway those of us in the three counties and east Anglia have been making a great effort to learn the lingo of you lot from London and the sarf east so we can understand you all better...
...so it would be a shame to split up now

Early rain over western Britain is expected to turn to snow as it spreads eastwards across much of England, Wales and southern Scotland during the course of Sunday. Early rain over Northern Ireland is also likely to turn to snow, whilst other parts of Scotland are affected by wintry showers.
Accumulations at lower levels may exceed 10 cm over parts of the Midlands, Wales Northern England. Over ground above 300 metres accumulations in excess of 20 cm are possible. The public should be aware of possible disruption, particularly to travel.

Further spells of snow are expected to affect parts of the UK during Monday, particularly during the early hours and morning. There is then potential for further accumulations of 1 to 3 cm at lower levels and up to 10 cm over higher ground above 300 metres. Ice is then also increasingly likely become a hazard and the public should be aware of possible disruption to transport.

Morning MKSA!
Cold here too, hovering around freezing in West Sussex in clear skies. Nice to see the light a little earlier this morning, gives a bit of lift to the start of the day.
Oh yes, lovely and bright here too
Temperature -0.3 °C with just a touch of frost...far to nice a day to be stuck inside so lucky for me I have an extra day off so all I need to do now is get dressed and get myself out to enjoy it
