  1. This has to be the worst 2 and half weeks of summer that I have seen since 2012, just without the rain….since mid June i don’t think we have seen sun from dawn til dusk, been cool, with temps only around 18c or below, only thing luckily is there hasn’t been much rain. Never known such a year where here in the east we have had a nagging north wind basically since early spring….We all know by winter it will go and won’t make appearance when we want it to….

Not nothing to cheer about either this weekend ( hopefully only the football) not overly exciting for the next 2 weeks either, then before we know it, summer will be nearly over…

  2. I’ve come on for a moan….3rd damp cool Saturday here in Mid Norfolk…weather next 2 weeks looking no different in fact looking even more wetter than it has been. So fed up, doom and gloom in the news with June 21 unlikely to happen, We all new we’d pay for this with Spring last year being the complete opposite…what worries me is  if we don’t have a summer business will be in tatters. Can’t even jump on a plane and head to warmer climate…ugh ,

  3. So where is this record breaking cold we meant to be having this weekend lol, "worse then the weather in 62" funny how those guys not posted on the model forum since Sunday .Infact next Monday looks like a barmy 7c

Id rate this as 6/10 for effort.  Yes seen about 4cm most of that has thawed today in the sun. Oh and not been windy at all today  either. Roll on spring this can all do one now

Hello. I’ve been lurking on this forum for the past year but decided to sign up now. I’m in Norwich norfolk. Is it looking good here? Some forecasts say heavy snow and some say light. I’m a snow lover so I hope we get lots. Thanks

It’s very touch and go for us, I think as it stands maybe a little more optimistic then 6 hours ago, our best chance is Monday and Tuesday with the showers

can’t help but think snowfall-wise that this is going to be a huge bust for my location! too far north on most of the models and forecast i've found. ice days and deep frost probably, but snow is what i’ve been looking for and i’d be gutted if out of such a great setup for england i only get a cm or two

Unfortunately latest  guidance isn’t great for most of Norfolk now, I think at most will be snow flurries... we need to rely on the showers Monday Tuesday for our chance...Those talking about a Red Warning, I’d be surprised if one was issued...never happened back in 2018 in EA

The Amber Warning for tomorrow has shifted about 8 miles westwards on southern end and moved a little further North into Norfolk. The warning has also been extended timewise from 4am tomorrow till 9am Monday morning.Kentspur-If this comes off you will get walloped. My mate lives in West Kingsdown which is now in Amber zone and he COULD receive 25-30cms by end of this warning(hills of north Kent-quote from warning).

This all feels quite surreal atm as it is 6 degrees in Locksbottom not a breath of wind and sunny.Have already tidied garden up ready for the snow.Good luck to everyone and let’s hope this time next week we will be reviewing an epic cold spell for all of us.Those that miss out tomorrow and Monday look out for that feature Icon shows-Tuesday night into Wednesday could provide Hampshire Surrey Sussex and West London with a nice covering-one to watch over next 24-36hours on the models

    stay safe

When Beast from the east 2018, the Amber warning was fairly similar if I remember, covered little more of Norfolk then at present...like Now Attleborough was just on the fringe of Amber...Thetford 8 miles away was in Yellow warning had about 2” not many road issues. Here we had about 6”, then when I traveled to work in Norwich nearly 9” so all interesting set ups

Can’t wait until we have one of them 48 hour North Sea effect snow events again with a direct Northerly or Northeasterly.

Model outputs keep on hinting at a cold February, so we shall see.

Snap, as I said yesterday our best chances are always full blown northerly, or the beast from the east... any weather system from the west always stalls like today or fragments before it gets here...travel to Corby...my friends are there, 8” of snow not stopped since 12 and it’s still coming down
