You have to say we are in all sorts of trouble compared to last year atm, but the setup for the later half of November does appear to be better than last years.
Depends on the sport, and the occasion. E.g. I think they should show the weather for an FA Cup final, but not an ordinary Premiership match. Also for some sports (like F1) the weather can be critical so I prefer they show it.
Another annoyance is some berk complaining to the weather presenter in January that's "it's soo cold" when it's actually 7-8c. Or in July asking why summer hasn't properly arrived yet when it's 21c and sunny, because according to them it's another miserable summer as we should be expecting 30-35c.
On BBC local radio (Derby) for me they ALWAYS without fail make the same joke about blaming the weather person for the poor weather. Do they not get tired of that?
You have got to be kidding me. Were you asleep for the whole of winter? SE had it better than many other places. Simple common sense and experiance dictated that the previous predictions of heavy snow around the home counties was unlikely, it was always in deep FI.
I'd love to see some of the charts some of the rampers in this topic have been looking at ... in a reasonable timeframe there remains little chance of snow for the Midlands (bar the odd flurry).
Not even 1 cm here. Absolutely dreadful event yet again. The ground is far too wet for the snow to make any sort of accumulation possible. The shocking winter for Derby/Notts looks set to continue.
I think for the Midlands there are really 2 major questions -
a) At what time precisely is the wind direction expected to change?
Will the snow "run out of puff" in south wales before getting here?
