  1. No idea mate, that is a proper radar jobby but I'm not sure I want to stay up and track it. Those showers off the SW coast of Scotland are making a bee line for NE Wales/Wirral area I think, but one to watch.
  2. I'm just happy I've seen some snow, both falling and laying. Better than last winter by default!
  3. Nice and wintry out there Taken THROUGH the window, sorry
  4. Same here CS. Been a decent evening...can tell it's all marginal though
  5. At work but checked in to say snowing here with a covering now on most surfaces.
  6. GFS really beefs up that front moving down tonight BUT looks very very marginal for low ground as slightly milder uppers and dew points are associated with it. Dew points knife edge around the 0/1C mark.
  7. That southern frontal mess buggered a lot up for the majority of us...I knew as soon as it started appearing in the output it would cause issues. A lot of you guys around Greater Manchester/Lancashire etc would have seen thundersnow already today had it not been for that front.
  8. Latest Euro4 picks up on some potential shower activity in the S of the region tonight
  9. Indeed, but an evolving situation..will have to monitor how it develops in future runs. Plenty to keep us engaged though.
  10. The whole Canadian side of the vortex is disintegrating, which has been a common theme in the extended for a fair few runs now Looking at some of the strat charts further out, it could be coming close to RIP vortex 2016/17
  11. Not great...however, ECM and GFS are now very similar around 216 hours with the retrogression signal and Atlantic troughing sliding underneath So close to a lovely 'Griceland' HP...just need that trough to cut down from the NNE Also..an observation- this run sees trop vortex continuously draining to the Siberian side. Potential for an epic low res.
  12. I think the way will be paved for retrogression in FI That trough in the Atlantic is rapidly filling with the aid of ridging behind...Joint effort
  13. Yep, GFS getting its 'nose' up bit better so far this run Ideally need to see that low to NW spin some energy SE
  14. I don't think it is, personally This shows it better...shower train realigns slightly but left behind, whilst front clears SE GFS is known for this
  15. It's straightening those winds up far too quickly tomorrow eve. A fraction more N'ly again on the 0z. Wirral streamer! What you see on that precip chart is two seperate areas which look like they're joined. One shower area pushing into far western extremities of region and the other pushing down E UK.
  16. Could almost understand it if the oceans were bath temperature, this isn't the equatorial pacific lol. Meh, bloody UK, always unlucky with snow.
  17. Do you ever wonder where the hell they come from?? -10 uppers all around on some occasions yet a patch of -4 uppers will just appear out of nowhere. Madness.
  18. I thought that, but West Midlands one says the same. We'll have to wait and see.
