  1. They seem to VERY slowly be edging towards the ECM output, but still sitting on the fence to save face in case they need to do an about turn
  2. Hi Nick, this confuses me "generally cynical attitude to anything shown by the ECM" as I thought the ECM had been pretty consistent over the last few days??
  3. This weekend is shaping up to be a nice cold affair. The NW forecast for my area is showing 1's and 2's for most of the day then going up to 5 for a short time. Much better than the 12's we have been getting.
  4. Is the area its going to hit nailed on? If so, it looks like my area and surrounding wont be getting the brunt. Is that right?
  5. TBH, I agree with you. I would rather have something extreme (as long as no one dies which sadly someone has), but its far more exciting than the "norm"....
  6. I thank you. Im here all week. Dont forget to tip your waiter. On a more serious note. Look all around, and nothing but blue sky....Dont you just love the weather (sometimes)....
  7. Wow, certainly wouldnt have had a bet on that
  8. I can see clearly now the squall has gone!!.. Clear blue sky just coming up from over the London Eye heading south....ahh what is that bright yellow thing in the sky??
  9. Squall line just passed over Southwark (just south of the Thames in the city)....great driving rain, now calmed down, but still pretty heavy....
  10. Its been a fun snow watch guys. Dont worry Snowless folks, its only the second week of winter. lots more ups n downs to go through. Heres to the next snow watch....
  11. Never say never....The models certainly werent predicting this 2 weeks ago, so who knows...Heres hoping we get something interesting
  12. Snow at home, settling on Cars, roofs etc. Roads fine. Train to West Hampstead, sleety rain mix. At work now in SE1 London and rain, no sign of a flake at all....I want to go home to see the snow (not that it will last) but was lovely to see it falling again....Bring on the rest of winter baby yea

  14. I dont think its going to come as far down as me either....but wait and see i guess. Even if it does snow, it will all be gone by later in the day I should think
  15. Damn, Lampost watching....My local council now turns off the lamps on the streets at 11:50pm....Oh no....what am I gonna do now.....Wheres that million candle torch gone.....
  16. I agree, I dont think this is going to be an event. More of a passing shower. Any Snow we do get is likely to be too wet to stick. Not too bothered (would have been nice) but its still early days and with the strat showing possible signs of warming up who knows.....
  17. It wont let me post them from here as my work lappy is using IE - 0 i think...rubbish... Its on the Atlantic storm thread for those interested. Think its the NMM
  18. NNM models are showing snow for us. Check out Liams post on the atlantic thread...looks ok for our area, but that is just one model....
  19. And yet Liam has just posted other charts which show snow for the herts, 3 counties area...so which is it gonna be?
  20. ITs so funny to read. Last month you were all saying its going to be mild, mild, mild until the new year and then we get these atlatntic storms bringing significant snow, wind and rain. Now the storms are subsiding its back to the same old, its going to be mild, mild, mild until Jan. Come on guys. This is British weather we are talking about, anything can and does happen. FI is getting smaller and smaller, so who really knows whats going to happen this time next week let alone next month. So negative ALL the time, it does my head in....Rant over. Please continue normal service
