  1. Well im off home for the day. I will be back on later to see how the models are going. See you all soon folks
  2. I wouldnt count on much snow, but then again, no one really knows as the models cant seem to keep up with tracking the low at the moment.
  3. So is the snow risk increasing for our area? Still seems to be up in the air (pardon the pun) at the moment. Friday morning looks to be the time to watch....
  4. I dont think its currently set to come as far down as us....but no one really knows even this close. Nowcast time me thinks. Over on the midlands thread they are getting all excited. Ive seen this so many times before, but I think caution is needed until closer to the time. Lets see what this afternoon/evenings mods throw up.
  5. And Snow not getting as far east as other charts might suggest....
  6. That chart shows it hitting some of our region, but as you say, i still think there is plenty of time for change. There is still alot of uncertainty on where the low is going to end up. Too far south and we get snow but little wind. Too far north and we get the wind with little snow...
  7. When you guys say mild over Xmas, it isnt that bad is it? I mean, I hear mild and my thoughts turn to November, with the really mild mush. But it looks like mild (in this instance) means average, which is what 5's/6's rather than 12's/13's? Still chilly, but fair enough its not cold....
  8. How far east is this likely to come? Some of the maps looks fairly close to the home counties? Or maybe im just pants at geography lol
  9. Models chopping and changing too much to nail anything down even at this range....Hope the snow comes off, but dont think it will get far enough east for my neck of the woods....if it happens at all....waiting game...
  10. Hello my fellow EA and 3C folk. So, Snow possible at the back end of the storm.....lovely..hope it comes off. So much uncertain at the moment with even the MetO struggling with the model shifts...lets wait, see and hope eh??
  11. In SE1 London, nice and clear ish with soft breeze, not much to write home about... Lovely. Will be nice to see a flake or 2 this side of christmas. I doubt it will stick around for long....
  12. Thanks Coast....just in time for my commute back home from London....Joy :-)
  13. Any idea what time its gonna hit herts? Im just NW of London?
  14. IS this line forecast to come across hertfordshire? If so what time is it expected? and what sort of speeds are we talking? thanks guys n galls
  15. Do we know when he will be up and running paul as im just getting adverts at the moment?
  16. Quiet in Borehamwood too funnily enough. Working in Central london today and guess what. Hardly a leaf blowing.....Boring....
  17. Ok so forgive my ignorance as im learning as I go. But if the Jet tracks further south, then what does that mean for weather? Does it allow the low to get further south too?
  18. Jeez what a total NUMPTY lol can I change the name? Mods help lol, Im not so sure it will turn to nothing, but I hope no one is hurt, those winds look mad
  19. I thought we needed a place to disucss this storm and where it will land etc....... keep safe
  20. Surely its hard enough forecasting 3 days ahead with the models at the moment let alone 20 odd days....I know the Met have some massive servers and machines at thier dissposal but still, it cant be set in stone at this stage...
  21. Lots of talk on the model thread about how far south and east the snow will get....will we get it south of the M4? I personally have no idea, but I hope some of you guys will be able to enlighten me....
  22. OH wow " As in many of my updates since earlier this year, the regions I expect to be worst hit throughout this winter and December are many northern regions, Scotland, and parts of Ireland" No...... Snow in Scotland? In December? Surely not!! Just admit you got it wrong sonshine.
  23. hmm still plenty of time for change then. Fingers crossed. Would be nice to see something more seasonal. Although im sure we are all happier with the current outlook than the last few weeks/months even.....Thanks MB for the answer.
  24. So nick, sorry to bother with another amateur question, but how far out is all of this? Is it all FI or something that can verify quite quickly? ta
