Here's the latest from the Oxanator. Copyright of Backtrack, attempts to repost my video will result in a 50% snow loss for your area on Friday. Yes that's right, copy it. Dare you.
Put it in 720p before you watch it.
The fact she dressed in black says it all LOL :-)
-
There's some fabulous humour in here at the moment - I'm sitting here with my iPad giggling away, trying to explain why to my five year old lol

A word of caution in his final sentence on this video, "These warnings are LIKELY to change in the next two days."
Pleeeeze let it be upgrades Pleeeze :-)

just don't dive out of it on friday morning......
He'll be fine - it'll be up to his window ledge by then.

Even I cannot find a way this snow will not come off.
I'm pretty sure we are going to get a major dumping.. even here where we don't normally get it.
Also on Saturday night we could get -15 to -20
Wow even you ! Now that's saying something lol ;-)
-
My stupid weather app is only showing moderate snow Friday only? It was showing more yesterday grrrr ........ Okay so I'm being greedy now lol
-
Updated Met Office warnings mentioning the 'B' word
Don't ya just love Yellow snow alerts ;-)
-
Think it'll trend eastwards on tomorrow's runs. Can't see it backing any further west.
Jeez I hope you're right.
-
Considering it could possibly change even further over the next 24 + hours, I'm getting a little nervous this may well be too far west for most of us. Please can someone reassure us?

Hmm. Once again, the latest NAE remains a little flatter with the upper ridge: seemingly the driver for the much faster incursion it wishes (in raw output) of milder air and accompanying snow than indicated by other models. Indeed, raw NAE progresses snow up to the meridian across England by circa noon on Thursday, whereas at the same time frame, ECMWF deterministic and UKMO-GM suggest only as far east as Wales and Irish Sea (MOGREPS-G supportive of this). What a nightmare. Once again - in successive runs - Chiefy has modified to a slower solution.... but.....I'm keeping powder dry on the outcome of all this mess until I see NAE, GM, EC and high-res solutions on Thursday AM!!

Yay -0.1 woop woop ....... Might not seem much to a lot of you but here on the Costa Del Wirral coast it's just what we need :-)
-
BBC weather is showing no snow at all !!! But Metoff and Netweather are showing loads. Must be broken lol
My weather app just updated - had been showing sleet for us but now showing snow snow and more snow on Friday with wintry showers continuing throughout the weekend :-) :-) See you in the park !
-
What were the snow depths in and around Liverpool/The Wirral after the 1996 event just out of interest.
Can I butt in? The seafront at wallasey was plastered - we had around 6" within 1/2 mile of the promenade - not sure about elsewhere as I didn't need to go snow hunting that year :-) It was all on my doorstep :-)
-
lol Chill Pill and sledging in Harrison Park!!
Too right :-) You should have seen the bruises on my legs after 09/10 hahaha
-
The model suspense is near killing me ! I know it's highly unlikely I will see anything significant but to just wake up to half an inch of snow sometime this weekend would bring a smile to my face.
-
subtropical today.. 5C
Really? Mine is showing 3.4 ?
-
Sometimes I hate living on the coast :-( :-( :-( sniff sniff
-
Getting the sun cream on now, and pouring the Piña Coladas!
LOL hahaha was just about to post about the only Streamers hitting Wallasey originating from my eye boohoo :-)
-
I can hear the rain tapping on the bedroom window now ..... Not even going to take a look outside its too depressing lol
-
Flakes are blowing past the lamppost indicating that conditions are ripe for snow, and whatever is about to fall will indeed be of snow.
What's your temperature there ? It's been a steady 1.4 above all evening here
-
Anyone in Wirral around? Looked at a few PWS stations and the temperatures in some places are even more favourable than here, and dewpoints lower. Can someone in Wirral go out and see if it is settling by them?
It's 1.5 above in Wallasey and no snow - just wet on the ground from the rain this afternoon :-(
-
very slight drizzle here now..
Same here, temp 2.4
