  1. Wow,I thought I'll have a peek through the window.Have to see this one out now. Heavy, big flakes!
  2. Looking on the very latest radar returns, when the bands approach around say the North of Luton area it looks like there heading on more of a southern track. The winds are to the sw into the Midlands .
  3. Just goes to show, you can never take any of the national forecasts as certain. The forecasts were for a mainly dry weekend a couple of days ago.Waiting for that snow to the north of us to drop in.
  4. I'm sure you have the tail end of it now but looking on the radar we have some more showers for later. Not so sure if will be snow or a sleety mix.
  5. Looks like that band of snow has passed out or Kent now.Looks like plenty of showers to our North East of the country heading our way for later.
  6. Been snowing off and on all morning now with occasional heavy busts thrown in.The sky for awhile now has that white haze look.
  7. Quiet heavy 50p flakes at the momment, very nice to look at!
  8. If you replay the showers on the radar which have just run through into the se London area, they intensified a fair bit. They were just a small scattering North or London.Something to look out for later tonight.
  9. Moderate snow at the moment, with it settling on the grass so far.
  10. Hopefully not to long for my area now.The radar has it to the west of London currently.Probably be rain or sleet to start by some of the other reports.
  11. It's a shame that low pressure system to the west of the uk for Monday can't head east a little and give us southerns a good old blizzard.
  12. Them CFS runs look stunning, them sort of charts keep me going on the hunt for cold/snow.Well the first part is right for the medium term in the latest model out puts with a high in the Atlantic.Just needs a push into Greenland. Not to much to ask.
  13. Looks like sleet turning to snow on the latest radar up date approaching my area.lets wait and see!
  14. These forecasts can change so quickly, it wasn't so long ago the Midlands was the hot spot now it's west and southern areas with a risk of a couple of hours of snow in the SE now going by the latest bbc forecast but things can change at the last minute, hopefully for the good.
  15. Maybe something now, looks like some showers from the Portsmouth area heading to our neck of the woods.
  16. Just been looking on the radar and all the showers at the moment look like there on a North Easterly movement, giving the Norfolk area some snow showers.I think any showers I would of thought will be up from the channel for us in Kent
  17. All seems like a risky outcome, the slider situation would it be better for the high in the Atlantic to push further into the uk a little to force the low South East into Europe but then maybe not such long term trend for retaining cold?
  18. If the southern half of the uk is on the wrong side of the slider, there still looks like 2 or 3 days of some good fetched easterlys with -8 uppers to follow, with the flow starting to the north or the uk taking a little while to sink.
  19. It would be nice just to see some snow falling as it's been along wait. Not to worried about settling snow just yet,if it does it will be a slushy mess.Hoping for the real deal next week if next weeks weather pattern can hold its course
  20. As a basic look on how the pattern may evolve on the Atlantic ridge development. At the end frame on the ecm this morning you can see the deep low swinging in from the Atlantic also an other sweeping low coming straight down from the pole regions into the U.S.,the further south it digs the better,I would of thought a ridge of some sort must be on the cards if this is to follow some of the other models.
