  1. Quite mild out there this evening while on the sea front at Weston watching the fireworks display.
  2. And so the miserable weather returns, hopefully not for long and high pressure can once again become that dominant player.
  3. Speak for yourself, wet and windy is boring as hell in my book, I prefer high pressure slap bang over head with hardly a breath of wind and dry! Hopefully this wet and windy spell sods off quickly and hp can again be the major player.
  4. Oh I dunno, constant wind and rain is even more depressing in my book, I'd take grey cloudy skies over that any day.
  5. If no proper cold is possible then it's a shame this high pressure can't stick around the rest of winter. Some people call this weather boring, I sure as hell don't, it's great, fog & frosty at night but clear blue skies during the day, lovely jubbly as del boy would say.
  6. Disappointing, not down here it ain't, clear blue skies here just like the last few days which means cold frosty mornings with freezing fog and now the sun has got to work on the freezing fog there's not a cloud in the sky! This is without a doubt my 2nd favourite winter weather.
  7. Yet another cold, frosty foggy morning, oh and very slippery under foot out there! Thought this was supposed to be a cloudy high, got clear blue skies again once the sun got to work on the freezing fog of earlier.
  8. What a perfect winters day we had here, foggy most of the morning, freezing fog going by the frost on the cars early this morning and crystal clear blue skies all afternoon. This is without a doubt my 2nd most favourite type of weather in winter.
  9. You can guarantee precipitation will go through hell and high water to make it here when the temps climb, but it'll all evaporate before getting here when it's cold enough lol
  10. Interesting forecasts I've seen so far today, showing sleet and snow showers pushing quite far West tomorrow with the winds swinging more to the east and to think some in the moan thread are saying winter is over lol, yeah right, go step outside, it's already cold out there and it'll feel bitter outside once the easterly wind picks up.
  11. So apparently winter is over according to some yet down here in the south it's already cold and with a easterly wind picking up over the next few days it'll feel bitter out there with sleet and snow showers forecast to reach quite a way to the west according the forecasts I've seen today. So much for winter being over eh!!
  12. This is true, might only be 4 weeks left of winter but you have all of March for possible snowfall too although by then I think I'd rather see some spring warmth but I certainly wouldn't say no if some cold, snowy weather wanted to pay me a visit during that month.
  13. What utter rubbish this post is, 4 weeks left of winter yet, not to mention it's damn cold outside right now which is fact considering I've just been freezing my a#@e off outside and then I come in to read some dross telling me winter is over!
  14. At least you were lucky enough to see it falling though, we saw didly squat over here!
  15. Damn this thread is going down the pan tonight lol.
  16. Snowing to the west of me, snowing to the east of me, gawd it's enough to drive one to drink!
  17. I don't think this far West was ever in the game where that precipitation was concerned, unfortunately.
  18. I do believe that's either sleet or snow I can see on the harbour cam at St. Ives.
  19. If they do reach the north east of the region then it'll just be us snow starved folk slap bang in the middle of our region that see nothing! lol
  20. Nice, another big shower heading your way too on the radar.
  21. Ironic really isn't it, usually we're too far West, now we ain't West enough
  22. Said last week that parts of Cornwall & Devon often see snow showers from a northerly so these reports are no surprise to me
  23. I'll happily take dry and cold though, anything is better than never ending mild south westerly winds.
