  1. From the album: Milkyway

Early Tuesday Morning, headed out for the cold, frosty sunrise over at Bembridge, things were all going wrong due to a hail and sleet shower approaching from the South, this was affecting our sunrise colours, anyways I manage to capture this just before!
  2. Anyone know how you upload videos to here? got footage of this mornings hail and snow shower
  3. Very tricky one this week, the models are all over the place! There is a slight risk at the moment, I reckon we will get a mixture of rain and sleet showers at times with the risk of some wet snow, that's just judging by the charts though don't give up hope yet, still time for change Fingers crossed!
  4. Had some fantastic showers this morning, 1 of them had just snow in places like Brading and other hilly areas, then after an absolute beast of a hail and snow shower passed, was crazy, everything went white! love it!
  5. Gone all frosty here now, temperatures down to -0.2'c currently and falling still! Lovely winter weather this frost already better than last winter!
  6. Lovely pleasant surprise earlier, couple of showers developed to North West and West North West which crossed the island, and they had sleet and snow in them, as soon as our main shower hit on the SW part of island, on high ground me and my mate got there just in time, first started with sleet and the blobs became bigger and more, turning more and more to snow and the very back edge was pretty much all snow, which was lovely to see! here's a picture of it passing over, you can tell its snow coming out of it big time!
  7. Woww massive Positive strike 20 minutes ago with a huge crack of thunder!
  8. Getting some rather Heavy showers today, 2 have already passed with hail, and we currently have another one now with hail mixed in! Good stuff!
  9. The GFS 06z looks better to me than the 12z, with a stronger blocked over Scandi, and a stronger or longer looking cold easterly, which to me looks like it would bring snow showers (Thames Streamer style) to East coast, South East and the South (including coasts), not doom and gloom this morning i don't think, still some very decent signs indeed!
  10. Ahaa Hello Neighbour Talking about debris, I dont know if you seen my report from last night, but it looks as though a Tornado rippled through the island yesterday, the track of damage and path it took im 100% convinced! As for Tonight, it is looking rather concerning, especially with the flooding for sure I agree, worse areas will be the usual, such as Brading, Adgerstone, Alverstone, Newchurch, Ryde, etc everywhere will be bad i think :/ and our Strongest winds i reckon will be when the cold front moves through, which im confident that winds will get really quite bad . At the moment judging by the charts, the chances look fairly good at the moment but of course its still a while off so definatly not getting excited yet :L! Also just to note these sort of set ups, especially if its an Easterly, the actual Island is normally one of the first to see snow along South Coast due the warmer seas, reacting with the very cold air, which increases the shower risk off the sea, where we are open to the sea we would be hit more likely from showers, especially the South of Island . Fingers crossed!
  11. Im very confident of the South and West coast of Isle of Wight will easily hit 60-70mph tonight, things really are beginning to howl out there! The other thing which is a bit concerning, with our already flooded areas, this rain tonight going to cause havoc by the Morning! Might head out and get some snappers Tomorrow! Oh P.S CHANNEL LOW CHANNEL LOW CHANNEL LOW!
  12. As you are all aware i reported last night that I was convinced about a possible tornado or a very strong downburst that had rolled through! My mate has given me to show a photo of the damaged we had came across! Also to our right there very very big trees down which was there before! I was with him for this as we was both chasing!.
  13. What a fun night that was, had one very very fun shower pass through, well it was actually a thunderstorm! Seen a fair bit of lightning tonight and an over head storm with 5/6 very big flashes and rumbles, this came with the most epic soft hail and sleet storm ive ever seen, even a few snow flakes mixed i, but only a few! The thing that got me and my mate, we drove this forest and there were trees down in random places and lots of debris and everywhere! We are 100% convinced that a tornado passed though, as it was all in small patches and everything was damaged! I am convinced! Either that or a very strong down burst! Definatly going more towards the tornado idea!
  14. Good luck to you all with the snow, still quite an interesting day here too with risk of thunder and lightning! Already had some hail about an hour ago, infact the hail was rather big too.
  15. Some fantastics charts this morning from GFS, GFS P and even the ECM is on board with the idea! Its also nice to these changes occuring in the closer time frame aswell! Come onn, everything is crossed for this too happen!
  16. Ohhhh I was jsut confused thats all, i wasnt actually having a go or anything lol It has indeed been 2 years since, still plenty of winter left though
  17. I am very confused by this post? It is also Central Southern as well as South West, and I never actually said there would be no snow...
  18. Lots of interest in the charts for this next week, very much looking forward to the storm potential. I also like the look of some decent convective activity too. Absolute brilliant week to come up for weather enthusiasts, as there literally is something for everyone. Rain, Snow, Winds, Hail, thunder and lightning potential too. Id happily take this 2nd to a beasterly! Still a long way to go with the winter for some proper cold, be an interesting few weeks model watching!
  19. Could be an interesting night for some possible thundery showers for the South Coast on Tuesday night, looks like there could be some beasty showers with hail and decent lightning potential. Id happily take that if theres gonna be no snow!
  20. Right then, some very interesting weather times coming up on the charts, especially with this storm that looks on the card, be interesting to track. Also like the fact alot of the models seem to have snow for quite a few places next week, even near the South Coast! Interesting model watching times ahead!
  21. Still a rather unsettled period indeed on the latest 12z, and into next week aswell again, it doesn't actually look particularly mild either, with some snow in some parts of the UK, especially further North!
  22. From the album: Milkyway

Again same Morning, tried something a little different, using the frost on the bushes which actually was coated by the freezing fog! Everything looked like snow!
  23. From the album: Milkyway

Same Morning, but we travelled to get right into the thick of the freezing fog, whilst the sun rose and shone through the fog, made it look incredible! Completely new experience for me!
