Here is one from me today, absolute amazing skies today and some very heavy showers of rain, hail and sleet!

I am too quite interested in next weeks weather, slack northerly, cold uppers quite mildish surface temperatures could definatly spell thundery showers! It does generally look quite unsettled throughout next week, judging by the latest charts!

Some interesting things going on for Tuesday by the looks of it, slack Northerly, cold uppers, surface temperatures around 9-12'c with some heavy showers showing, shows potential thunder and hail to me! Think its definatly worth keeping an eye on, I am pretty confident.

OMG wow just had a mental hailstorm rool thrrew, the hailstnes were hugee!

Turned into a lovely Afternoon here! here is a snapper of sandown seafront from about half hour ago

December 2010 here was great, I remember the 1st to 2nd December 2010 a huge band of snow developed to our east and came right over giving us nearly 18-19 hours of continuous moderate to heavy snow! a lot of places on the island had upto 10 inches to a foot of level snow! Yeah the next day rain came through but after that there were another 3/4 snow events that month! was great

It sure was amazing, i got some pictures which I will upload of the sky just before it hit

Heres my full view from what just happened.... Around 5ish, had a phone call from my mate saying that he actually had seen a lightning strike and the sky was mental! So I shot down to the seafront to get a better look, there was a shelf cloud to my South East, and to my North there was this absolute beast of a shower coming directly for us! Culver disappeared in Snow and Soft hail! Then my mate came to pick me up to chase it! It first started as sleet, then rapidly turned to very heavy snow! Like we got by Wroxall and it got so heavy we litereally had to stop driving as it was a white out! Settling everywhere! It was an OMG moment :O. Was very fun to be out in. Downfall though we cam across a pretty bad Accident not far from Shanklin :/, and buses stopped running too and people had to walk, felt sorry for them

Strange, the whole of the East side of the IOW and where I was, we just got absolutely battered by extremely heavy snow, like really really heavy, it settled everywher! and lasted a good 45 minutes! Came across a pretty bad accident too!

Lol on nights out my id literally comes with me everywhere!

Lol, im actually 21 so its cool, i get that alot haha, tbh I was with my mate we went out to some forest which was amazing!

Absolute fantastic morning was a perfect wintry seen, ended up quite a nice load of snow, here are pictures I got from today in Brighstone forest!

Absolutely love this, light winds moderate pulses of snow, just had a bowl, it was so mellow and lush! Started snowing again

2nd wave of snow here now, has given another covering on cars, and even on the ground!

Wooo just had a nice snow shower and a covering too! Hope we can clip part of that band before it all goes!

Hmm im really trying not to get too excited, but have to say the latest 18z and the radar is looking qutie good so far, my fingers, toes, head, ears, nose, legs and everything else is crossed!

Had some snow again move over last night around 4am ish, was only light but was still nice to see

Wooo it just been snowing here properly I repeat SNOWWW! Was quite heavy too, was nice to see for sure!

Very close one for Wednesday and Thursday, potential for snow across a lot of South West and South, hope if the winds are on our side (North Westerly, or even West North Westerly) then i think even the island will have a good shot of this! especially over higher ground

Still lovely looking charts this Morning, I have a good feeling about this one, and have feeling february is going to be a good one! (Thats it ive said it) Obviously things can still change so am not getting over excited just yet, overall been very good model watching of recent with the start of this spell on wednesday! Hope the 12z will show goodness!
