Heres the IOW Temperatures!

Even bigger difference on the GFS p, much much stronger low coming in!

Thursday looking rather unsettled across the UK by the looks of it, with some fairly gusty winds too GFS P: has the isobars more tighter by the looks of it

So then the fall in temperatures have begun, unfortenatly thc losest places i can use for temperatures here is Newchurch and Wroxall, an dthey are both at 4.2'c after a high of 4.9

Absolute cracking crisp, sunny winters day out thre, little light northerly wind but not too much! Cant wait for tonights frost!

Probably wetting himself with his so called christmas pudding ( M era) (it keeps coming up with christmas pudding when i say m era) and no im not a believer of it. charts like this as hes probably lost for word right now...

People may think im crazy but as a neutral weather enthusiast , I love all this chop and changing with the charts, be it showing mild or cold. Anyways, Next couple of days, nice ridge of high pressure over the UK to give some lovely sunny days and harsh frosts at night, I for one am not complaining! Coldest bit of weather in 2 years! Nice crisp frosty weather with this chart All change as we head into the weekend, with some weather fronts bringing some more wetter weather, which i dont mind at all either! Things look to be going really unsettled for a time by the looks of it as time goes on, but after this weekend i think is all up in the air, so im not worried about anything, still not even in January yet! This would be rather nasty though :O

Coldest and frostiest night in 2 years! Some places on the IOW reached -5'c wehre alot of others averaged between -2 / -4'c, woke up this morning to pure frost and ICE everywhere, looked amazing! and looks like the same tonight!

GFS OP going the way ECM and UKMO, looks a rather a snowyish chart for the South and South East!

Well then todays 12z runs are rather different indeed, for anything remotely cold the GFS P looks the slightly better option, but still not great to be honest, This weekends cold shot looks on the cards still though with all models trying to come to some sort of agreemant. However after that really is all up in the air. GFS P: GFS OP: UKMO not as keen: GFS OP seems to go into almost Bartlett territory, looks rather mild indeed and very flat, but is all in FI so time for change! GFS P: Looks very unsettled with some very nasty looking lows right through FI. Everything really is all over the place at the moment, though as a neutral follower of the weather im enjoying this roller coaster ride!

That low at 180, would sure to bring snow to quite a few places, even as far as the south coast as passes through as the colder air gets sucked down all over the UK! very interesting run indeed!

Hmm the heights on this run over Greenland isnt as far west as the 06Z, if anything its slightly further east and sort of South, interesting run so far, this could go anywhere! 12z 18z

Hmm I dont really know what to think to be honest, see the GFS normal and GFS P went through a dodgy little patch the last few days, and have decided to go back to more colder and better heights again over Greenland, where as the ECM was the one showing better signs for colder weather the last few days when the both GFS looked dodgy for a time. Now all of a sudden, they have swapped round and its now the ECM that doesn't want to come back on board with colder weather. Admittedly in my eyes the ECM does look the most strange and not as plausible as the others, but I can't discard it as easy as some others, due to the fact of the GFS norm and P had been like recent days. However personally I reckon it will be more of a colder and drier theme over more Southern areas, but better risk of snow over Northern and Eastern areas just after Christmas, but we shall see, this is just my opinion from ive been seeing this last week. Lets see what the GFS 18z shows this evening. Come on Pub run please be drunk!

Some very interesting and eye candy runs of recently, GFS P have noticed keeps coming up with all different ideas, from Greenland highs, Strong Atlantic Highs and now a 2013 style looking Scandi High with Easterlies. Either way there does seem to be trend of something colder after Christmas. Still a while out, so am not getting excited about anything yet, either way its very encouraging. ECM too showing good signs building north towards Greenland, nice too see good agreement on things from most of the Models.

Woww what a special night last night! Best Autumn and 2nd ever best thunderstorms i have experience, I was literally speechless with what happened! I will explain more tomorrow but all I can say is wow!

Waheyyy we are at it again, cell passed through to just to my South about 20 minutes ago, let out 2 cracks of thunder!

Just found out that ventnor Co-Op was struck by lightning last night and it was from the first storm that passed through and gave 2 positive CG'S, which i had seen!

Just got in from a very eventful night of lightning watching! Left the house around 10pmish and headed down to ventnor, however the road to ventnor was shut so we had to back track to go to Shankling sea front instead! We got hit by a very potent cell, with 2 extremely close positive CG'S and explosive thunder, one of them pretty much hit directly about us! It produced some torrential hail, and the roads went white from the hail! Anyway that was it for then, but we decided to go to the downs and keep an eye out to sea, as we always can see whats happening for miles! Anyway it was a slow start, there was the odd flash here and there. Then got to about midnight and we almost gave up and came home, but as we was about too, this storm to our South and South east decided toe xplode into life, with lightning every 20 seconds. There was loads and loads of Double CG'S multi flashes and the odd anvil crawler! We decided to change location because there was yet more cells coming to life, and int he end we was looking at about 2/3 different cells which was all producing, with 2 of them close enough to here some decent thunder! Great night yet again for storms this year!

Goodmorning all, its beena very interesting past 24 hours here, yesterday we had loads of heavy showers during mid morning and the afternoon.We then had a dry spell for the first part of the evening, before more showers started to move through around midnight, which the odd one produced the odd flash of lightning, but wasnt close enough to hear thuner. Now we have some moderate showery rain and off, but keeping an eye later this evening and overnight for the risk of storms . Yesterdays high: 15.1'c Yesterday Low: 11.3'c Precipitation: 8.6'mm Overnight low tonight: 9.8'c Current Temperature: 10.7'c

Very lively morning here this norning, had some very heavy r rain move by early and its still raining heavy now! Anyways yesterday was a cloudy start, then by the afternoon the sun came out and left a lovely day again and still quite warm! Hight yesterday: 16.9'c Low yesterday: 13.7'c Current Temperature now is 13.4'c which is also our current low. Just as i type this, it really is coming down out there, its almost torrential, and quite windy aswell.

Absolutely lovely out there today, central Newport on the IOW has hit 22.5'c :O, bit closer to hom here its at 20.5'c! Nice Halloween bbq, with burgers as treats sounds better than sweets

Quite an unsettled look again on the charts this morning, especially going into the end of next week. Though at the start of next week, there still some chilly nights showing with the risk of frost in places
