Jackski4 Southern bias, others not knowing what they are looking at and some just here for the wind up.

It’s Slipping south, I’m not venturing into that thread.

It’s posts like below, stating an upgrade because the snow line has moved south, midlands primed etc. That is not imo an upgrade based on the Tropospheric pattern but purely on snow IMBY.
Funny that Matt Stoke highlighted it was yesterday’s run

10 years even better, at least Ian Brown had the knowledge to back up his argument. These days it’s inhabited by internet trolls.

I admire your efforts in the mod thread but I do feel you are p@*ssing in the wind aiming at a chocolate fireguard.

It looks like it’s going to be an interesting evenings weather, I’d much prefer it 10 degrees cooler.

The climatic snow increases as you go east in the region is very bold. I'd say every mile and 30ft of altitude gets you an extra 15 minutes falling snow per Winter.
If I go 5 miles to the East, staying on the same road my altitude increases by 200 metres.

Left home this morning to a covering on all surfaces. Over the hill to Huddersfield and hardly nothing.
Nothing in York.
Nothing in Barnsley.
Currently sat at the top of Dovestones, snow flakes in the air and the view is like a wintry postcard.
The northwest has done well out of this compared to others.- 8

As a few have suggested, Country File just starting on Beeb1. Interesting to see it's forecast.
At what point of the programme is the forecast, it was much easier back in the day.

Well this is very odd !!
meto have a snow warning out Tues Wed and Thurs...
I'm really flummoxed now!
I can understand a warning for Tues ,esp higher ground.
Wed and Thurs seems really odd.
Maybe the met are seeing things pop up at short notice that we aren’t currently viewing.

Without a doubt one of the biggest busts in NW model viewing history
It really isn’t, we get let down like this most winters.
The time that Ecm dropped a frigid easterly at t72, now that was a flop of all flops.
