So, back from my week in the Canaries, and it appears there's nothing exciting happening... A sleet shower in Suffolk maybe?

Looking at this forecast for Wednesday puts you more likely to be right alibabba:

Thanks for sending the jet so far south, weather Gods. It's raining and 16°C in the Canaries now. Who do I complain to?

In the end, the last hour of ppn here this morning was proper snow. New covering on top of the old. A crunchy inch left

Have to be honest and say I reckon you’ll need at least 200m altitude to see anything significant tomorrow. Aside from those members living the high life (altitudinally speaking) such as @Northern Strath @igloo @shuggee I think it’s rain and sleet for most, with perhaps some wet snow before it clears.
In other words, it’s nailed on.
Just sleety blobs. Certainly nothing settling - washing away the snow that's been about for a couple of days even.
Very geographically localised it seems.

Just a couple of cms to add to the pile this morning. Thirty exciting minutes driving on untreated roads into Penicuik

I remember in Leith, the premium set-up was an ENE'ly with at least -8°C uppers.

Hello, hello, can you hear me? This is the Upper Tweeddale jury dialling-in.
4cm at my hoose. A very crusty surface of ice. A701 yet to be gritted, so a fun drive to Moffat!

Yes very quickly when it sticks - 3cm here in last hour.

I think today's mild sector was undercut by the cold air a few hours earlier than expected.
Yes, this appears best illustrated in Northern Ireland. A good 3C lower than forecast already, four hours ahead of the GFS.

Very good. Just noticed it's turned sleety here - pouring down.

Isn't that because this forecast period is dynamic - the starting point moves forward a day, every day??!

You're clearly over 25 then M.!
I am the opposite. Feet and inches are bizzare. But then there's Fahrenheit and Celsius.....

6am and snow was bucketing down. Nice covering, 2cm max. Another snow day at 9am. Pretty in the sunshine just now on my day off

It's not normal that for every day of the next eight days (as far as the forecast goes) there's various amounts of snow at my hoose.. Surely?
But I could get used to it!!

Snowed most of the way home in the car and a covering in previously melted areas. Was even settling in Straiton Sainsbury's car park!

A stunning -13C driving through Broughton in the Borders this morning. A good half hour's drive with the temp always below -10C.
Even -4C in Leith by the water.

I consider myself suitably pulled-up HC. Apologies.
(But the driver definitely was one!)

Beautiful day. Heavy snow and twice the normal time to commute in. (Some dildo was driving at 30mph with 17 cars behind him on the way into Penicuik). Then glorious sunshine on Princes Street by Waverley and now -7C with powder snow at home. Lovely

Same here. Miserable and just constant. Snow line at 300m ish.

Glistening sunshine with a hint of mist. Beauty of a Sunday morning.
