    Very interesting Mr Data - putting it into the future weather context there. I think many people on here worked out a couple of years a relationship between potential UK cold around a month after a stratospheric warming event and good to see historical confirmation again of such an apparent link. Early December cold spell??

    All I'll say on the subject, is that having sat through the winters of 2002/3 to 2008/9 reading the same thing every year from JB, then don't hold your breath thinking his forecast will produce this year.

    Last week's Saturday Daily Record had an article on "Positive Weather Solutions" who said that from Weds (just gone) it would remain settled and warm for the rest of the month. And yes, early snow on the hills from September and a cold snowy winter... Hmmmm.

    My take on this is a combination of both energy efficiency and reducing emissions - all of them, including NO2 and other noxious gases. I don't have a car, and being gay will never have children - what a huge saving that generates I'll just repost the title of thread as some people either don't read it, or have difficulty understanding it: Are You Aware Of Your Own Carbon Footprint? What are you doing to try and reduce it?
