  1. Further back building NE of the line of cells towards SE london / westa kent has seen the first strike over Bromley-

  3. The reading storm has gone very circular at the 7pm update - almost supercell like ! s

  5. NW london taking another Hammering now - with 'insta cell' appearing in the space of 30 mins !
  6. You can see the developing convergent zone running from hampshire up into essex / herts watch for towers along this line in the next hour
  7. People in the SE ( kent ) should be looking east for support for TStorms - developments over Belgium already pushing WNW -

  11. In terms of looking at the prospects for winter the all important QBO figures for sept & Oct will need to land before making any predictions - ideally a swift decent back towards easterly would be a good result - but looking improbable at the moment - S

So here it is just in time for Autumn - After the summer heat thoughts turn to the change in daylight hours & of course the advancing snow & ice - Here is the one of the first images of the season showing a few bits if snow dotted around - The ice is still looking vulnerable to late season melting .... lets hope that white finger extends westwards this year in time for Christmas.. s

  16. As the sat reps have up dates above ^^ the system is slowly getting more organised with a more symetrical shape as well as some outflow to the NE
  17. Sky clearing in greenhithe everything flat as a pancake !!

Well this is interesting - the 'Plume' event modelled well at 144 by UMKO has gathered pace over the last 24-36 hours, which ironically was the total opposite of this past weekends original plume forecast which fell to peices in a matter of 2 days ( even though the actual weather hasnt been that bad ) This evenings 18z looks more amplified at 114- so ideal conditions for hot temps developing - * uppers getting as high as 22c ( max ) * very high thickness values * slack air next week I think will see the highest temps of the year over the UK with perhaps some crackerjack T.Storms to follow.... S

  23. so heatwave cancel to be replaced by 2-4 days of nice weather depending on where you live max temps shaved again down to 30-31c in the SE tues more bearable for most - disapointing for the extremists !
