Quite a different set up in this region this evening than I was expecting.
Usually when a LOW is approaching from the Atlantic and winds back to the S/SW there is a period of calm, dry and clear weather
before the frontal cloud arrives, however much of Somerset and now Wiltshire has been affected by thundery or heavy downpours
with the initial frontal rain not too far behind knocking on the SW tip of Cornwall.
hi andy, would this imply some uber stormy conditions tonight?

we could also include a NW member's weather station map, handy for monitoring DPs/temp etc when snow is forecast and also when any other type of severe weather is sweeping the country.
not sure how it would be done but i think it would be a significantly useful new addition to Netweather.....

Very disturbed nights sleep, I see an amber warning for glouc/wors/shrop for flooding. Why can't the water companies take water from river when its raging and top the reseviors up? Lights flickering here as well
