I wish it would hurry up and bugger off then lol To be fair with the wind out there today and the deep laying snow it's like a proper icy winters day - except it's spring. We've done well overall I reckon for this region but fingers crossed there's more to come before the thaw!

Thought I'd share this. Big up to my milkman yesterday a lone pint of milk delivered in this weather. Considering my local shop has ran out of bread milk and eggs but strangely had a delivery of Duracell batteries then this went down well for me brew! Have I already shared this I have snow brain and can't remember lol

I agree that windchill is horrific it literally feels like you're skin is on fire lol From cold perspective the windchill seems far worse than 2010 in my area like which is pretty remarkable as it's spring!

Truly amazing out there like. Just had the dog for a walk and I thought my face and hands were going to drop off. Icicles hanging everywhere and deep thick snow. At one point I was thigh deep in snow with the drifting. Really exceptional this spell of weather and had another couple of inches over night. Happy days! The region has transformed in to Narnia!

Heavy snow shower just blown through here but like some have said it's the strength of the wind that strikes me. Really gusty and strong it's crazy and bone chillingly cold!

I'd say so it's swings and roundabouts. It's good to see other areas getting snow as well now looks like we'll just have to wait our turn.

I'm also in the gap around Washington lol But to be fair I have a deep covering of snow so can't moan but I want more and more lol

It seems to have reduced all over from the past couple hours. But more concentrated north and south ATM. Hopefully it'll pick up again soon.

Looking at the radar too I can see more starting to build way out over the NS.

I noticed that but it's coinciding with the change in wind direction. I think once it becomes established again they'll sharp pep up. Our amber warning is until 6pm tomorrow so all to play for.

Same except there isn't usually loads of snow for them to get through first haha I agree though you put your phone down and before you know it the doorbell goes

Now for the real dilemma....is it cruel to order a Dominos and expect them to deliver? Apparently my local one is still open for business lol

@NL That shower off the east coast has your name written all over it! Here's hoping it keeps in intensity.

Backbuilding on the shower currently moving over me and intensifying. Already very dark outside with pouring snow and really strong winds.

Bleaching again in strong winds but nice thick flakes depositing yet more snow. To be fair I lived in Willington Quay (North Tyneside) in 2010 and this is comparable for intensity of showers and depth. 2010 lasted a bit longer though so may have the edge but either way a memorable event this year.
