  1. You can see it sinking south / southwest and pepping up again behind. This is far from a done deal I think.....
  2. So fell asleep in the sofa and woke up to this just now - bonus !
  3. Looking at the lamppost I can see very slight and very light flakes just blowing about. Looks more like dandruff to be fair but looks like heavier stuff is on the way.
  4. https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar Watch it from here...
  5. Pretty much reet owa me hoose get in there ??
  6. Who else is going to try and go to bed later but actually won't because they'll be radar and forum Watching?
  7. But to be fair it's quite long the front so a good portion of the east coast should see something
  8. I'm gonna take a guess around tyne and wear and north of there ?
  9. Looks like some disturbance ahead of the front. Whether this peps up more is to be seen but it's there nonetheless.
  10. I agree at this rate it looks like being here by midnight ?
  11. What is wrong with some people, the warning only came into effect at 4pm TODAY! Nothing of note was forecast until AFTER this time. Sit tight we're in a prime spot for what's to come...
  12. Because their computer models are showing the potential for some deep and disruptive snowfall. As it's this soon ahead i.e Wednesday then I'd say we have a high chance of something like they're saying. As is the nature with convective showers not everywhere will see them but in set ups like this there's a tendency for showers to become aligned and stream across the same areas or merge into bigger areas of snowfall. The showers become a bit backlogged as they hit the coast forcing them into lines etc
  13. Seriously mate there's nothing to be so depressed about it's the best set up we've had in years ??
  14. Always was this PM onwards really but they did say a few flurries which has been correct so far in places. I can't wait until late afternoon and evening to see if the snow machine begins in earnest. I reckon this is going to be a memorable event and something we've been craving for years (if you like cold and snow that is)
  15. Anyone looking at precip charts needs to take them with a massive dose of salt. They can't predict how heavy the convective showers are going to be. Remember November 2010? Well that will tell you we got shed loads more than what was predicted. So, let's take the set up. A frigid easterly creating convective snow showers off the North Sea. We are in a prime position for excessive snowfall in some parts not including the feature for tomorrow to move in off the Sea. Happy days and happy radar and lamppost Watching peeps!
  16. That's most of thr northeast region to be fair well the true North East anyway so I'd be tempted so say not only just!
  17. Amber upgrade for my area. It's just a mild breeze out there at the min?
  18. You couldn't make it up. All this snow forecast and hardly any for the north east. Absolutely sick now :-(
  19. What is your location? Just helps when identifying areas for storm activity that's all :-)
