    And the London area, on NW radar the cell over Brighton has definately intensified and there are more echos over London now...

    Look at the NW radar and look at the shower passing over York atm it's almost a clear round circle with nothing in the middle EDIT It has just intensified at the front edge while maintaining a circle. Probably nowt but looks cool on the radar ;-)

    Theres a cell thats just passed Bishop Aukland that looks tatsy for us up here. And the one over Manchester to the left of Bradford looks juice too, intensifying nicely too for the Yorkshire region...

    It appears to be coming to that cell from our south GS. Surprised as didn't think there was any potential here tonight!

    Maybe, those cells appear to be getting stronger although I don't see any signs of them becoming electrified!?

    Definately thunder to my south that must be intensifying unless it's coming from elsewhere!?

    Theres definately some intensification going on to the south of us now. How intense and how electrified remain to be seen! the temps are still trying to recover!!

    I can hear thunder to my west again...need the radar to update!

    Hi GS lightning acitivity about 3-4 strikes so not a huge amount when you compare the thunder! One strike was literally above me and shotgun thunder. Have you seen how the storms are developing? It has exploded around the Seaham area headed south towards Peterlee. I would go chase but could imagine the A19 blocked lol

    I know it's amazing! Those showers moving north around the Catterick area look like they are intensifying too...

    The showers have been backbuilding to the west around the Seaham area. Becoming intense again. You say there is nothinbg on the radar but there actually is if you take it from not being IMBY... From Blyth to Peterlee there is activity in a north south line?? EDIT: and from Seaham south it has literally exploded!

    Based on what? I can hear thunder to my south again probably around the Sunderland area the shower is intensifying rapidly. I really don't think you can write off the afternoon until it's all stopped.//...

    Something else appears to be forming near Durham but it wont make it to Newcasle if it develops, maybe Sunderland this time...

    Yeah it was cracking. Thunder was manic like wasnt it! Hopefully some more will spawn as there is definitely something happening further south and west....I can actually still hear the distant thunder from the ones just passed lol

    Sun trying to come out now, that was great and I am one happy lad. At least I wont feel as bad when the south gets pounded tonight!!
