  1. Think I am gonna start calling you Thor TWS It's ususally the opposite way around for me. I would move to tornado alley and all the severe weather would transfer as far away as possible! lol I really feel lucky since I moved back to the Northeast last August. The winter was amazing and the summer (in terms of thunder) is proving to be one to remember too!
  2. Yeah the NE has done amazingly both in Winter and Summer this year what with the heavy convective snow storms and a fair few thunderstorms this year. The tables have turned. Make the most of it 'coz by next summer we will probably get nowt!
  3. Can see lightning now to my SE Can see almost constant flickering now...
  4. Sky is orange to my south and you can see huge clouds silhouetted against the night sky, looks awsome
  5. You enjoying it kid? Have you seen the showers moving up from the south not far from boro they seems to be popping out of nowhere?
  6. LMFAO They are definately intensifying now, I can hear the distinct sound of distant thunder...
  7. Have you seen the radar the showers are really pepping up. BBC weather have mentioned thundery showers moving up the east coast...
  8. There is a cell just south of Boro that has exploded, lucku buggers
  9. Good man it shows you the unpredictable nature of thunder hope those showers to the south of me continue to intensify..
  10. However that shower around Bishop Aukland seems to be pepping up.....
  11. Alza, by constantly reminding people of how many different storms we have had so far I feel that a lynch mob from the south will be up to kill us! On the other hand it may be the south that get a beast tomorrow and get their own back!
  12. Well you should see some lightning out west IF it holds .....
  13. Aye but looks like it's dying down a tad now and also appear to be moving more south to north rather than sw-ne like before. Is that just my eyes though!!
  14. Agreed, looks VERY unstable in places. The NE are just out of the warning zone according to ukasf but I am hopeful along with a big chunk of central UK...
  15. The one around Knaresborough and Boroughbridge looks like it's maintaining but the one just to the south of county Durham is slowly losing it's intensity and thats the one destined for Tyneside. Unlikely to start bumping up again IMO but you never know!
  16. lol Howay man Paul it's usually us up here moaning that we don't get enough, but granted this summer so far has been great for the electric stuff! I feel your frustration bud but if it's any help that cell will probably have died a long death by the time it reaches Tyneside!
  17. NOOOOO Peter you want it to intensify And then double in size when it gets 10 miles south of Conset
  18. That lot to the SW of Darlington looks very juice, but I suspect that it will be little more than light drizzle by the time it reaches the great northeast
  19. Was it not a plane Alza kidding, but I think the worst or best of the shower is gonna pass to the east of us and probably over Sunderland area.
  20. I can hear distant thunder now from my south and looking at the band of showers they have definately intensified on the western edge too. Hope it doesn't die out by the time it reaches me! Noticed those, enjoy
