    I'm just using a AM/MW radio on the lowest frequency. Works well with cheep radios I have found. Pocket radios for local sferrics. A few spots of rain here now. I have now heard 9 sferics

    just had a torrential shower here. Think I'm in a good place for this afternoon but I have a question. What will cause these cells to develop this afternoon? I have looked at the GFS and it showes no instability or SBCAPE at all. Thanks.

    there is one hell of a storm somewhere around getting closer. Sferics every 2/3 seconds and knockternal cooling hasn't even come into play yet!

    it's 21.6c here now and still nothing's happening. We've been really lucky in terms of temperature today. I think the best time for convection is around sunset. I wouldn't discount getting anything from those imports either as they are arriving earlier this time.
