  1. Snow falling in Portlethen 6 miles south of Aberdeen and starting to lie on surfaces, didn't expect it to be snow temp 2.3c dp - 1c
  2. I know, i was thinking more the Madhouse members of England and Wales. The Irish members are too sensible to be bothered either way.
  3. Just waiting for the first member of the madhouse to announce its snowing from the incoming Atlantic systemwho and where will call in first, time for a sweeper?
  4. Any snow for the south is not going to hang around long with those temps, some flooding likely
  5. Just grazing the city sadly about 5 miles east getting hit I'd say, a few flakes floating in the air.
  6. We await your updates on the fun. Sleety snow at most I'd guess. It has made landfall in Cornwall, seems to be rain there it started as sleet snow in Ireland when it made landfall.
  7. I trust what Nick F and Bluearmy put out it in the Madhouse they are level headed with little or no bias mild or cold and of course our own Kirkcaldy Weather
  8. The beeb TV forecasts rarely update during the day to accommodate new data in recent model runs ie they use the 0Z run for daytime and the 18Z for 10pm onwards by what I've seen before, expect a change later tonight
  9. Sure is I don't know why, they can't cope with an inch without grinding to a halt . They're bickering amongst themselves. A moderators nightmare
  10. Still chilly out T0.6c Dp-3c snow melt confined to the roads and paths so far, not really seeing much more for the Aberdeen area bar the odd light shower, plenty sunshine on offer for Wednesday and Thursday but not seeing anything falling here from the system approaching from the south Thurs/Friday. Hopefully some southern areas get some from it my sis stays in Sornhill she likes her snow
  11. Winds seem to have veered slightly to the west of North now so you might see some of the showers feed down from the Highlands and Caithness
  12. Think the roads in the city and shire are pretty much at a standstill for now, be fine in a couple of hours and some March sun
  13. Another couple of inches fallen in the last 90mins some roads in the city closed and still falling.
  14. Another heavy snow shower starting in the city. Think by 7.30am the worst will be done and then the sun will do its work
  15. In Aberdeen currently with more showing on the radar. Temp-1c dp-2c
  16. A good 2 to 3 inches lying in the city, go to sleep expecting very little and wake pleasantly surprised temp - 1.c dp-2.1c
  17. I'd rather a polar low coming in instead from the north down the east coast
  18. It's a fine line we don't want it moving too far north or it would be a snow to rain event as the milder air comes in , we don't want it too far south or its just cold and mostly dry.
  19. Not holding out much hope for snow for coastal Eastern Scotland on Friday sleet or rain more likely but big falls inland, though as we know the actual track of the low is yet to be determined. The borders being my guess as the sweet spot.
  20. Most missed to the west leaving the city with a flake or 3, can't see much falling in the city but look forward to being pleasantly surprised, some nice falls inland for sure.
  21. Should have typed a 6 instead of a 9 , dps more important in these situations I'd say
