  1. Blue, When you read it he does only mention a chart in winter of any year that looks like that, not the potency of it.
  2. Not sure i have seen anything like it, if you wanted a euro/scandi/arctic block, there you go. Nice to also see you are more consistent than the models, Steve (battery levels).
  3. I don`t care if this is FI and I am willing to eat spam for a month if we could get to this point....
  4. Well said, Spah! A feasable evolution but there is one heck of a lot of LP phasing north/NE of the UK prior to this but the "neverending HP over Europe" which Daz mentions actually prevents us going into a full blown zonal attack, so no not like the last 5 years. Still in the game here with the FV3 but it doesn`t get to this chart easily.
  5. And the EC finishes in FI with almost a deja vu winter scenario, a monster russian HP/ridge. No doubt this will be 1050 tomorrow.
  6. @mike I thought yesterday regarding the JS was an upgrade and now it has sunk even further, the models are even struggling with that!
  7. Hmm, regarding the EC, it`s as if it`s thought, I could make things easy but has decided to give itself a Rubiks cube for the Atlantic LP. It isn`t much fussed for cold uppers either. I am only going as far ahead as next Tuesday.
  8. @bftp You have to imagine that blue road can`t end there and turn around. i haven`t seen the latest NAO but if it can stay -NAO, what a chance.
  9. Before you have a break, the FV3 finally gets the jet south around the "juncture" of uncertainty, the 26th.... This is a big improvement on yesterday where it had it ploughing into southern UK
  10. Fair enough, your view and by the weekend this may show signs of this but you have to ask yourself, if the scenario was showing extreme cold at that juncture, would you be as confident of that happening? Until the spread around the 26th? is firmed up, you can`t really call anything with any with any confidence.
  11. Not sure where you see the signs of the Atlantic winning next week from those charts. The Icelandic/Scandi block looks stubborn and although the jet is not exactly southern I would expect any LP systems to be deflected SE somewhat. I am still bouyant about this HP/blocking scenario.
  12. Good post, that Atlantic LP is doing a serious Brexit west from the UK. Wasn`t this supposed to slide SE into Iberia? doesn`t look like it from those charts.
  13. Just using the FV3, Phil but the jet doesn`t want to go that south from 192 onwards. 2
  14. Well as things are starting to become `interesting` I thought I would come out of hibernation..... And then I see the JMA being posted, Steve.... thought this was only pulled out as a last chance saloon...
  15. Absolutely. You cannot expect the whole country to be basking but certain regions like the SE are going to hold onto warm/hot summer for a while, even that ECM "wobble"
  16. Well, it depends, SE looks mid twenties going by that soo....
  17. Yes the ECM at the end of the run crumples the 850`s... But FI still exists in the terms of will probably never happen right? It can`t be just a winter thing....
  18. I`ll take that as the Frosty calculator Not exactly what I was after but I`ll go with it.
  19. It does look like a N/SE split again Karl with the ECM rolling out. What is the calculation between 850 temps and 2M temps btw?
