  1. Looking at the NW radar (yes being loyal), the more potent showers swinging in look to capture the region of Cambridge > South of Essex.
  2. Is 96 the new 38 pages? ;-) You mean you are not digging yourself out Blue?
  3. Only really a dusting in NW Essex but showers becoming more frequent. I wasn`t expecting much today, expect tonight/tomorrow to spice things up a bit. Friday still looks on the table too if we can resolve what that freaking LP is going to do and when.
  4. I don`t want to put a downer on things but don`t expect anything tonight in this region. Throughout tomorrow I would expect.
  5. @Easily sled Wrong thread lol EDIT: This could turn into a geography lesson...
  6. Can we safely say anything can happen between now and X regarding snow in our `NEW` regional thread? Pretty exciting week ahead but also concerning at the same time.
  7. Really well put, Matt. People getting hung up on the snow, just the temps (and windchill) are going to be an eyeopener (or closer) Friday temps look prime if everything comes together, i.e. chaos.
  8. Steve, you are deffo going have to elaborate on this... EDIT: I would say a dumping in East Anglia but...
  9. To all folks in here, you have to remember this is going to be hit or miss with showers or heavier pulses. Thinking you are going to get detailed information out of this thread, sorry not going to happen. What you do have to keep in mind is the cold, by Wednesday it is literally going to be baltic. Not sure peeps understand how cold it is going to be. I`m crossing my fingers like the rest of you though regarding snow.
  10. Very very interesting regarding these precipitation charts, I have viewed a few today that show rain at times, just shows the flaw in them. Anyway, I am going to call this a squall line on Tuesday. EDIT: I shouldn`t post this but just to give an example of dew points to my comment above.
  11. I`m not trying to cherry pick here but after looking at the Met office warnings this week, they have nothing for Thursday. Arpege has other ideas. EDIT: This is due though to bringing the LP in quicker it seems.
  12. Soo Matt, Where am I standing on your remark then, just annoyingly South right?
  13. Just to show the fine margins, Here is North Essex. What`s that 3 degs colder on the uppers? Obviously just for this model.
  14. I posted a few days ago that the JMA and GFS were showing this scenario of a greenie/Scandi block which was dropped but the GFS favours again. That is a decent block still in place but also cuts off the cold feed. Yet another couple of days of interesting model watching, what wins out / manifests from Thursday onward is a big call but my glass is half full and the potential jackpot for snow lovers at the end of the week is still on the table.
  15. @TEITS Glad I wasn`t going mad, we pretty much agree regarding direction.
