  1. Looking at the Arpege precipitation chart for Tuesday shows showers coming in from a NE direction, not directly East whereas on Wednesday it does look more Easterly (maybe that`s when the true term actually starts). Anyway...
  2. An IMBY post but this is pretty impressive from the ECM, Just gets to -8 at the end of the run.
  3. I read that myself. I presume that being dry snow and falling on a dry cold surface there is no initial thaw/melt when settling on top.
  4. Just watched that about a dozen times, It`s something that will probably not be seen again for years. Bordering on scary tbh.
  5. Someone mentioned a pacman yesterday, I`m not sure what it is but the UK just about to be bitten hard.
  6. Pleased for you mate, your hobby/dedication has really paid you back. Edit: Not quite yet but you know what I mean.
  7. The poor folks in Oban, get lashed with rain all year round and miss out on the white stuff. The irony....
  8. Not an IMBY post but it appears that most models have the brutal uppers catching East Anglia / Midlands / South on Monday. And a lovely `kinky` isobar on Tuesday...
  9. The JMA is picturesque, HP to the West, HP to the East and a perfect funnel in between allowing a massive cold source to just.... ...perfectly flow through... Almost a dream. Edit: Or is it a nightmare of a Northerly...
  10. I was looking for Spring and had to use the CFS (I know but heck nothing goes far enough).... I can`t find it!!!!!
  11. That Azores LP, (not often you can say that) does `Pep` up which may just hold the flow somewhat?
  12. Thanks, nick but it was in relation to the strat charts posted where they had a `poor cluster`. Appreciate your help mate. Clusters from a graph is a given, just can`t see it on said chart.
  13. You are going to have to explain further (for me anyway) regarding the poor cluster from those charts. ( a Rolph Harris job) as this is really over my head. Thanks.
  14. Thanks mate, I thought it basically showed stalling of the normal oscillation not a swift reversal towards the area mentioned. Cheers.
  15. Please correct me if I am wrong but this might delay the transition of the HP to Greenland somewhat.
  16. What the hell has the JMA picked up on? I suppose it is an evolution which is plausible, Greeny/Scandi HP block with no shortwaves dropping into Iberia. GFS: Not a million miles away ECM: Having none of it GEM: Can`t see the UKMO but akin to the last 2 charts IMO after looking at T144. GFS/JMA are deffo worth watching closely in the next 48hrs (as they all are but...)
  17. Sorry, forgot about them in my excitement / humour mate. I did say cracking though!
  18. Great angle of attack from ECM, looking more of a bullseye hit!
