  1. yep same here yesterday was cold and showery and next weekend may be warm and showery ? and people seem to think that's a weather improvement it isn't , it's just a warmer version of unsettled and apart from storm watchers who may get there wish I suspect this won't be enjoyable for most , been warm and humid and getting soaked is no more pleasureable than been cold and freezing and getting soaked 1 fine day followed by 3 warm wet ones does not good weather make

The key word is POTENTIAL think some are getting a little carried away a little too early , in 2 , 3 , 4 days time if the charts are more of the same then you can have a little confidence remember 2 or 3 times last year at a 5 or 6 day away windows looked nailed according to some then when the time came was not as was expected or didn't happen at all or were caught out by late changes , not meaning to put a damp squib on peoples expectation just injecting a note of caution especially with the convective expectation some have as that can be especially fickle even with ideal conditions
  3. this is assuming it pans out like it's currently modeled plently of time for subtle or not so subtle changes which may change the setup one way or the other
  4. looks like it might slide just to the west of birmingham judging by the radar but one never knows
  5. got the firght of my life heard this loud rumble turned out to bae an advert on tv think it doubled my heart rate

  7. just about to see a shower myself i think not a lot of thunder about at the minute probably wating to all go east then bang edit - raining here now
  8. lastest bbc news 24 forecast essentiallty re-iterated was has been written here some heavy and thundery downpours in eastern england this afternoon
  9. could be some fun and games with these showers as the get into E/SE areas this afternoon , could be an exciting afternoon for some , of courses there are currently a few strikes with these at the moment but it's seems to come and go perhaps these are what people call pulse showers/storms

  13. yep that band or rain that in northern england this morning which I thought might make it down to me has fixzled to just cloud seems to be nothing on the horizion either at the moment
  14. rain/sleet/hail ? here at the minute just typical spent the morning cutting the grass , there's no thunder at the moment so that's not too bad
  15. I wouldn't go over there and say to the family of someone that died oh well it's their own fault for not paying attention to the weather , suspect it wouldn't go down too well
  16. radar looks quite heavy near tamworth of course radar is now 10 minutes out of date so hope it's still not heavy have places to go
  17. rumble here edit - after all the forecasts this week this came a bit of a surprise wasn't too loud but a surprise non the less
  18. seem to be having a hail shower here , sort of weather you'd expect in january or february not half way through spring
  19. looks like a lot of the activity will be south of me today consider myself lucky yesterday that i saw nothing of note
  20. some bright radar echos in northampton moving N , think I'm safe from that
  21. just when I though i'd got away with it some coming from the SE at least I think it's heading my way
  22. firstly I wondered why anyone in their right mind would stare at lampposts until i looked it up
