  1. Christmas eve weather here hasn't been too bad, although it has been breezy. Temp maxed out at 10.8°C Currently.. Temp: 10.1°C - Hum: 83% - Dew: 7.3°C - Bar: 1028.31hPa - Wind: WSW @ 11mph.
  2. Well that's a turn up for the books.. despite the mild temperatures, I have a bit of snow falling.. Merry Christmas SW & CS folks!
  3. It may give you a glancing blow, but it'll miss here altogether.
  4. I've had 42mph down here, which isn't too shabby considering Portland has had 45mph. Although, the wind speed at Portland is 32mph, whereas mine is 20mph.
  5. .. just registered a 42mph gust, not bad for here! It certainly makes all the difference having the anemometer 10m up on the chimney.
  6. A low of 4°C this morning. Fairly bright now, with the odd glimpse of the sun - windy, gusting to 30mph. Temp: 11.3°C - Hum: 89% - Dew: 9.6°C - Bar: 1027.36hPa - Wind: SW @ 15mph.
  7. The netweather logo has vanished from the banner..
  8. Rain last night, then fog, then a ground frost - had it all. Nice and sunny at the moment though, but damp, again, after a low of 0.8°C Temp: 8.6°C - Hum: 99% - Dew: 8.5°C - Bar: 1028.45hPa - Wind: WSW @ 2mph. I have just been looking back at my stats for December, and so far, it has been the dampest December I have recorded in 6 years - an average of 93.93% Drying washing has been a nightmare, so I expect the electricity usage has been greater due to the tumble dryer being used more often than normal. That's today's strange stat-of-the-day!
  9. I think a fog warning should have been issued by the looks of it?! As soon as that rain cleared, the stars were out and the temp rapidly dropped. There's major fog now!
  10. I'm wondering if there were errors in the data being returned? 9:55pm: 5 mins later:
  11. The back edge of that rain developed out of nowhere! Some quite big drops of rain at the moment - 7.2mm has fallen.
  12. A few glimpses of sunshine early this morning, after some moderate showers and a period of windy weather. Mostly cloudy now, and mild. Temp: 11.2°C - Hum: 89% - Dew: 9.4°C - Rain: 3.6mm - Bar: 1019.98hPa - Wind: SW ~ WSW @ 5mph.
  13. Warnings only cover five days, including today, so it'll appear by tomorrow.
  14. ..just had a moderate shower again, not sure I saw a forecast mentioning these? To be fair, they are not exactly widespread, but they are slow moving and quite sharp. 2.2mm has fallen now.
  15. A few light showers not too long ago. I just got back from Poole, and going through Upton, there was some huge puddles, it looked as though quite a bit of rain had fallen?! There's some flecks of blue sky now - brightening up a bit. Temp: 5.6°C - Hum: 91% - Dew: 4.3°C - Bar: 1019.47hPa - Wind: SSW ~ SE @ 2mph.
  16. Looking at the current GFS output, some of our Scottish members might be lucky enough to get some Winter convectivity this week. Low ELT's sweeping in through Wednesday and Thursday - what i wouldn't give to be back on the Isle of Skye!
  17. Unfortunately, a few houses down from me, they built an extension, if I pointed it towards the Purbeck hills, they'll be a grey wall in the picture. That said, I can't see the castle from here anyway lol Raining now!
  18. Corfe Castle looked nice shrouded in mist this morning. Down to 1.8°C here, this morning. It's currently cloudy, although there was some tiny signs of it brightening up. Temp: 5.1°C - Hum: 99% - Dew: 5°C - Bar: 1027.19hPa - Wind: W ~ NW @ 1mph.
  19. It's pretty chilly now, down to 2.8°C and the fog is back.
  20. Well, funnily enough, Christmas day 2013 brought some wet snow and hail for my location. I took a video of it when I got home at 8am after an all-nighter.
  21. Plenty of fog last night and early this morning! I had just a 2% range in humidity yesterday, very damp indeed. Temp: 6.9°C - Hum: 97% - Dew: 6.5°C - Bar: 1036.57hPa - Wind: WNW @ 2mph.
  22. There's good support for a deep area of low pressure to cross Scotland, strong winds on the Southern flank would mean Northern England getting the strongest of the winds.
