ugh....Never get much from NE'lies here, hidden behind the Chilterns. Remember the almighty Sunday night snow in the SE in 08/09 - there was hardly anything here, and then a virtual white out in Watford..amazing.
We need a ESE wind...I can't remember those ever occurring!!
Still snowing here - getting what was 'stolen' from us yesterday ;-) about 1/2 cm and still falling, covering everything nicely. Getting pretty heavy now, but I think we are virtually out of this bit now.
True! The Istanbul bit was from our local friends of the earth rep when we were watering our local orchard! Very dry here generally. Grew up in Bournemouth, a lot wetter than here
Yep just the usual. The stuff last night and early hours all slipped to the east! Anything here was too light to be snow. Not surprised LB is as dry as Istanbul on average!!
Thing is, we never seen to bet 'bonus' snow. If we get some then it's generally worse elsewhere, like yesterday afternoon's shower. Then if it's forecast like this morning, it buggers off somewhere else! 42 year old tantrum time ;-)
Incredible snow avoidance here, yet again! That was our bloody snow and it's gone east again. Funnily enough exactly where regional weather said it wouldn't go, it's gone. Might as well be living back on the south coast again. Rubbish!!
Jusat had that one overhead in Camden - torrential rain and a few decent bangs - love the way it popped out of nowhere on rainradar! Good job it stopped as I don't want the railway tunnels to get flooded..
Makes up a bit for the usual/back to normal no show last night in the beds/bucks area. Well we did have a couple of storms in July, so we must shut up and be grateful
Ha ha a tad wet. Another vote for how hot the Bedford river festival was!!
Now in Kempston at a barbie, amazed at how Far East the Swindon storm has come, virtually just turned right at Oxford !!
Great wasn't it. Here in LB, I saw one hit an electricity pylon anout 500m away! Could see it in my eyes for 10 mins after it happened! Sadly missing the fun as I'm in London working, more storms in the area...
