    That's my thinking, seen similar radar images from the US, looks like strong rotation.

    No that almost looks like an area of rotation associated with a tornado.

    50-60mph gusts here in Hull, worst in certainly yet to come. Expecting 70-80mph here, something I've never witnessed in my life.

    Band of rain is now wider than the BBC graphics depicted, some intense energy pumping into it from that occluded warm front.

    I was accused of scaremongering last week because I warned of the threat of severe weather come the middle part of this week on my weather page. I really hope they are happy now!

    As I expected, band of rain expanding due to fronts occluding. I think about 10-20mm from this system Surrey. Higher totals being towards the Sussex region.

    Front should occlude in the SW increasing rain rates and the width of the band. The cold front is across Somerset and the warm front is just behind.

    I currently reside in Cottingham, Nr Hull so I'm expecting severe gales tomorrow. I just hope you guys across the country keep safe and are prepared, will be very rough for you lot around the evening period.

    I own a weather page on Facebook and the last 2-3 months have been exhausting lol. I have issued warning after warning!

    The wind will be a problem of course, but the rain will be the biggest issue for sure.

    I can't wait for May 2015, the Conservatives & Lib Dems have done enough damage, arguably more than Labour.

    Just saw a man originally from Chicago who has lived in Somerset for 20 years in tears because his friends have been flooded out. He contacted local government last year saying that there will be flooding again if something isn't done and ultimately nothing was done. He completely rips into the central government and his words were so true. Our government our absolutely clueless.

    I can see them amber warnings updating to red if this storm remains the same as it's modelled.

    It's strange I know, although according to the graphic above, there would be 150kt gusts or 172mph. I think it represents kph, so 150kph would be 93mph, which is far more sensible.

    I was going through random netweather members' profiles earlier and some of them are really spooky. Some people who always posted on the forums have completely stopped posting or even visiting the site. Some people have over 10,000 posts and they disappear without a trace, for whatever reason, it's quite sad to see. Take Glacier Point as an example, he used to be prolific in this forum, but because of work commitments he hasn't even logged back in for nearly a year. You get used to people posting everyday, and then they suddenly disappear, sometimes you realise and sometimes you don't. I've enjoyed some members' company in here in particular but they vanish and then you ask yourself, what happened? Since I joined in 2011, every year has been completely different in terms of those who interact with this forum, some people decide to stay, others don't.
