  1. GFS 12z has things about 200 miles further West, certainly better!
  2. Currently in Hull and it's the darkest I've seen it during daylight hours. (cue the jokes)
  3. Incredibly dark here near the Humber, it's like 4:30pm.
  4. The deeper the purples, the lower the pressure. It's basically colour coordinated.
  5. No, but it definitely takes an Aerospace Engineer I can't stop looking at this chart from the JMA, heavy snow for the Midlands.
  6. Bit of a silly statement really, considering you are a member of a weather forum.
  7. Rain wasn't forecast for the southeast until later tonight...http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=euro4&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=prec&HH=3&ARCHIV=0&PANEL=0&ZOOM=0&PERIOD=http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=yrno&MODELLTYP=1&VAR=prec&HH=3&BASE=-&WMO=&ZOOM=0
  8. I think it has been very well modelled to be fair. 1:303:00
  9. Like that BBQ Summer that never was Of course I'm only joking! To be fair, the critical point is at 96 hours from now, whether that low slips underneath or stays in situ!
  10. According to that, Central England could see 15 inches of snow!?
  11. One of my favourite snow events.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrJb6Lz7CX4
  12. If the cold block wins the battle next week, I truly believe we are on to something memorable. I've been looking at pattern matching which is apparently a bad habit, but sometimes it works because I use it in my Facebook forecasts with great results. This Winter looks surprisingly identical to 1947. In 1947, the Winter did start earlier in mid-January, however the synoptics leading up to the cold weather are nearly the same as what we are experiencing now. 1947 2014 WINTER IS COMING!!!
  13. Why isn't there a combined pressure and 850 temperature map available to the public? Instead of course having two separate maps.
  14. You can catch the webcam here.http://www.chasertv.com/ Choose the spotter over New York.
  15. Get your snow fix here - New York City Cam. They are expecting 6-8 inches over the course of today and tonight. http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/timessquare/?cam=tsrobo3
  16. aaaaaaand. the ECM flattens it all out at day 9. Just brilliant.
