  1. Ooh. I'm excited, new camera lens and a day off work tomorrow. Just hoping the energy stays high enough to keep it sparky! Good luck everyone!
  2. I use the fightercontrol forum for heads up info, they have pretty much every uk airbase covered by spotters and radio enthusiast and quite often post things that are expected and inbound/outbound. I think you might have to register to see the nitty gritty, but here's the Link to the Waddo subforum http://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=59 I've used it for Lakey and Fairford and the mach loop and it tends to be accurate. It's also handy to find out why a random chinook flew over your location
  3. None of them are anything to do with me!!
  4. It's turned into a summer of bloody weddings! It's interfering with my Airshow schedule...
  5. Treble booked myself last weekend so didn't make it down, although we are doing Clacton on Friday
  6. Had some close ish but no cigar, I face west, so saw it coming hours ago, and when it eventually kicked off, I think the best lightning happened directly south of me where I have no view! Had some corking thunder too, one of my friends who lives about 5 mins from here just text me to say he's 'Just heard the Loudest thunder of his life, Bowel Movingly boomy'. Now it's just raining
  7. Also Hanging out on the Flat roof with the Camera and Southern comfort..... Had some decent Flashes here......
  8. Had torrential rain, some pretty juicy CGs and the clouds look bonkers!! Hurrah!
  9. Gawd it's warm! Have been working upstairs in my home office all day, my conservatory is like a sauna, and the cats are all panting! This has bubbled up over the last half an hour or so (I face west) and I think I just about make out a bit of rain curtain, but not yet seen anything on the radar. And of course it's Wheelie Bin Day tomorrow, so everyone is dragging their rumbly bins up the drives giving me all kinds of false excitement!! Sorry for the sideways pic..... Oh, and the weather station is still reading 30.2 c!!!!
  10. Just sat on the train out of east London and had some bouncy hail and a few juicy CGs, it's still hot... Dying to get home and get the camera out!
  11. Me too! My Neighbour is power washing his drive off, but I am *sure* I can hear something grumbling out to the west........
  12. Very Humid this morning, we pretty much had *something* going on from about 1am - 6am, and now it's just raining. Be interesting to see what unravels this afternoon....... This was 4am
  13. Well that was exciting! Took this at 4am out the Window, not my best Lightning shot, sorry for the crosspost!
  14. I got some pix Typical I've just got back into bed and the lightning has significantly increased in frequency ... Might just get a few more before it's too light........ Radar looking very pretty still, nice pulses of red running up from the continent....
  15. I noticed everything had moved your way!!! I'm facing west so have seen a lot of flashing but all the good stuff is behind me downriver!!
  16. Two flashes of lightning from that London Cell, and I'm a good 25 miles away Curtains open, camera ready..,,,,,,
  17. Tis warm!! My station is reading 24c with 60% humidity, we had a shower about an hour ago, and some tops started to form but now I can't see much although it isn't clear. I don't think we're dead in the water just yet. It's still early and lots of energy....
  18. I think it's very early days for this Thundery spell, for this part of the world anyway.... There are some tasty things happening just across the channel, and lots of opportunity for it to move. Re: Royal Birth , yes good news etc, let's not get snippy with each other though eh, it's a family show!
  19. Typical! I Leave Fairford this afternoon and it Kicks off like a good'un!! Huff!!!
