  1. The infringing line seems to be receding along the east coast, unless you're in that line between Sheerness and Deal, where I imagine it'll be gloomy all day............
  2. .....because forecasting localised low cloud is so easy to do.......
  3. My only real concern is how I'm going to keep my beer cold....... If anyone does want to meet up, add me on Facebook and we'll co-ordinate icecreams/beverages link is on my signature. I'm not difficult to spot. Maybe, just Maybe we'll have a surprise update this lunchtime... Those U2s flew out yesterday morning :'( Irrespective, it's going to be a great weekend, I'm packed and ready!
  4. It's so nice not packing masses of wet weather gear for a change and worrying about trench foot!!!! I think there will be a lot of Red shoulders come Sunday afternoon........... Seriously considering taking the gazebo for the campsite, it's field with no shade otherwise....... RIAT have posted on Facebook that they are providing free drinking water if you bring your own bottle which will help....... Two More days to go!!! I am dying to see what turns up on Friday's arrivals.
  5. Well, x2 U2s have flown into Fairford this morning - I don't know if they are on usual rotation, but if they aren't.... well... There's also a lot of noise around a Canberra appearing..... Hmmmm
  6. So THIS is interesting... http://www.acc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123355835 Might be a bit late for RIAT tho.... but you never know what might get pulled out of the bag as a result...
  7. 22.8c here already, Station read 32.4 in the end yesterday. I have a three day week! and then off to bake at the Royal International Air Tattoo on Friday for the whole weekend. LITRES of suncream on standby. Happy Monday folks!
  8. Well, I think we're going to be blessed with an absolute scorcher this weekend!!!!!!
  9. Started to haze over here now, typical, I've just turned over to toast my back and the sun is less torchworthy. Anyway, 29.5c here according to the netatmo, which has also chucked in thunderstorm alert for this eve. Cape certainly looks juicy, and now a bit of a breeze has picked up from the river.....
  10. Yeah, it's pretty stubborn here too, we were in the blue this time yesterday. :-/
  11. Aye, CAPE shows promise tomorrow, Extra is showing 850 for my part of the world, if that tipped to 1000...... I'd as long as I have opportunity to crisp off my left side and have a couple of Cucumber Gins beforehand... Happy Friday folks!
  12. Yes... the Mud.... Kempsford were towing people out with tractors, I ended up powerwashing EVERYTHING off when I got back, even found mud inside my cd player of the car stereo.... The only tangible way of coping with it was litres and litres of local cider, after a few I stopped caring about the Mud and the rain..... Boots are from RIAT, rest are a few from Duxford Sept Airshow. It's a bit shorter than RIAT< flying is 1pm onwards for three or four hours, but they open up the flightline on the runway so you can get really good unfenced pictures of all the flying aircraft while they are parked. The weather was absolutely corking. It's flying Legends at Dux this weekend, and I am Very Very tempted.....Oh sweet Merlin Superchargers.....
  13. 16c here, also a bit breezy, high clouds, I reckon we'll frazzle it off and end up sitting mid twenties. Either way I could do with a day out of the sun, I overcooked my right side working in the Garden yesterday and need to even up my left... Weekend looking a bit of alright!
  14. I've got a Canon 60d with a 18-55 lens (it's the one it came with) and I'm taking a 70-300 which I'm renting. To be honest I'm still learning how to use the camera, I'll put some of my Duxford pix from last year up on my gallery in a bit. - I took it chasing this year as well and got some very cool shots. I'm taking a tripod with me I think, it always seemed to come in handy. I'm just happy that the ground is going to be dry, Well it's the RIAT lineup update today, I'm really hoping they pull something special out the bag like last years' Stealth....Looks like there's a few of us going this year, I feel an Impromptu beverage coming on!
  15. We're camping at Kempsford for Riat, decided to bite the bullet and see if we can make it through this year without being towed out of the mud! It's the first year I've got my big camera too, so I'm really looking forward to getting some great shots I think we are due some good weather for RIAT!! I've got everything crossed!
  16. Well... There's no USAF support this year for any Airshows, which is a bit of a swizz, but the last few years there's Been an A10 tank buster, ospreys, and a stealth bomber at riat, not to mention the Migs, .... Would love to see a Sr71 for sure, and if you are savvy with the NOTAMs scheduled U2s are quite frequent over Gloucestershire....... The trick is to get there the day (days) before and see everything arrive most of the static stuff flies in from somewhere..... I'm excited. I even got the tent out and camped in the garden last night to check everything was still in one piece after last years bog. Yay!
  17. Just to Whet the Appetite, Pair of Chinooks, just ambled across the sky above the house.... Happy Friday everyone!
  18. Ace, I was just a bit further back from the pub, last year they were charging about a fiver to park, and it was great viewing but crazily windy. I'll let you know which day I do...... weather permitting etc, be good to see you!
