  1. Wind has picked up through the evening. Possibility of some heavy thundery rain moving up from the south during early hours. Off to bed, night all.
  2. Cloudy day, After a bright start. Top Temperature of 18.4c. Winds from the SE 10Mph
  3. Nice warm casserole for diner to add to that perfect evening this time of year!
  4. Alright for some, cloudy here with low cloud, 18c but feels less with fresh SE breeze
  5. Welcome Aboard, being on here in winter is worthwhile, live reports in the regional threads with plenty of radar grabs and snowy photos to enjoy
  6. More of a northward movement i think, will brush past us lot! Even here in Oxford (further west)
  7. Looks very nasty with current output some areas could see heavy thundery rain for several hours if not longer especially to the SW, hence Met Office warnings out in force. I guess those who hate this weather we have been experiencing as it ain't exciting may be interesting in the coming 24hrs. Yes was supposedly going to be a very wet and increasingly unsettled week for all, i think some model output and Met Office were saying by midweek all areas unsettled, tomorrow sees that band head Northwards, but could stay dry in the Far East/SE.?
  8. Here comes the pressure build from the South/South West. Just as the weekend gets underway.
  9. Looking like a very wet day tomorrow with Heavy Rain moving up from the South, Rain also affecting areas to the NW aswell. GFS 12z shows this..
  10. Not necessairly but it gives us a better chance of seeing colder conditions, especially in winter months, we have high pressure to the North & Blocking the Atlantic off to the West, with colder air filtering southwards into Eastern Europe, we then see easterly winds come from the continent with us into a cold pattern with below average pressure( Blue Anomalies) Correct on last point, still early days, but there are plenty more and increasingly overt last few days again from CFS for High Pressure to dominate to the North around the polar regions which bodes well if you want cold further down the line, Early days however!
  11. Some lightning strikes out to sea in the Channel as that band of heavy rain moves up.
  12. Entrenched cold air over the country, a low pressure pressure system sliding along southern britain would bring some potentially heavy snow from that set up.
  13. That is some band of heavy thundery rain to the SW, has some of you in its sight!
  14. November 28th. Kent. First snowfallCurrently here in the shire- Cloudy, breezy and Dank. Temp 18c though!
  15. Fair enough, everyone entitled to opinions. Just I read November don't look good either and wondered what charts/signals are showing this, thanks ?
  16. Fresh and Sunny morning. Cloudier but humid afternoon, some drops of rain aswell. Wind as dropped now though!
  17. It's end of September very early days to be writing off November. More changes ahead as we get closer to November!
  18. Model output update times can be found here- http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/72242-model-output-update-times/#entry2213708
  19. That's height anomalies. The brighter red denotes higher pressure. Compared to average I believe. And the blue denotes lower than average with low pressure.
  20. Still think best to give it another few weeks at least before looking at long range signals . No confidence in a mild./ Nor cold winter at moment.
  21. Ill love to experience a winter like that Mr Pike sadly quite a few years before my time still!
