What awful weather to wake up to on an April Spring day. How much longer is this cold going to last?!

Was hoping to wake up this morning and the models had moved away from the cold solutions. But no.

My birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. I'll be hugely disappointed if it ends up being cold. It's April fgs, don't need any more cold muck!

Wish the Easterly trend would off!
Not one bit interested in cold now. Roll on the warm up!

Any chance this next faze of weather could become mild?
Not really interested in cold anymore this Winter. Would love for a warm up to occur instead.

I'm bored with this snowy spell now. Probably the worst BFTE I've lived through. Looking forward to the breakdown and then hopefully there will be some Spring warmth not too far away as well.

Been snowing all day not amounted to much steady drip drip this afternoon. Now the drips have frozen abd still powders on falling. Hoping it will pick up later. Definitely not been hammered here even though I am in Amber warning area.
I think the Amber warning was for emotional distress rather than Snow!

I wasn't.... but I'll bet he was forecasting 'snowmageddon' for today....
I'm not saying nothing. There's a few major ramps from others in one of his threads too.

This is absolutely pants. Intensity has gone here. Lots of grains blowing in the wind but zero accumulation. For that Amber warning to be worth it we need some serious snowfall soon!

I think for most in the region those are probably 2x too high.
Hotspot at the moment appears to be in the Clacton area which has several reports of 10-12cms. I think a localised 20cms is still possile by the end of the day there but its going to be quite restricted to be fair.
Kudos to you Kold, you've been one of the most grounded on here this week. A few more need to take a leaf out of your book mate.

End of Sunday clearly states... this evening things look to turn up the volume...
I hope he's on the money then. Because as it stands we've got a lot of catching up to do!

That’s a bit premeditated my friend.. when my last two posts “clearly state “ that there is clear delay.. we’ll come bk to this tomorrow morning.. when I’m confident things will be a little different
All I can say mate is good luck. I hope you're right.

Man the abuse/anger via my social media inbox-PM.. and even a few em-mails.. with people demanding their snow .. and borderline outright abuse I’m getting is crazy .. it’s incredible what /how the weather certainly effects the mood -all round...anyway... I’m certain that again this is all a little delayed and most will have their fill .. over coming hours....
I love your enthusiastic TI, you always give it your all. But come on mate, very rarely do we get what you predict. Even you've got to admit that.

We need to get that temperature down. All this snow falling might as well be rain if it's just gonna melt on contact.
What a wasted opportunity.

Lost the intensity now, along with the big flakes. What had started to settle is already drip drip dripping away. Really need that temperature to drop a bit more and for the intensity to ramp up again ir this is going to bust hard.
-
The intensity has really fallen off in the last 10 mins now. Hardly anything falling and nothing settled.

Annoying how it seems Essex and Surrey are getting a fair bit and here in Medway, nothing.
Essex really isn't. Not this part anyway.

Thats good to know so Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent ticking it off the list.
So is it just the South and Mid Essex areas and North Kent near the Estuary who have not had a covering since March 2018 ?
Anyone else out there in this 35 month barren spell
I'm just up the road from you Paul and the intensity is increasing all the time. There is still hope.

Getting heavier now. Hopefully might see some accumulations soon.

I never called him out but did put a post in here earlier probably around 430am saying his hunch about it not being that far west and a clipper was probably right, but its hard to congratulate someone when you are 4 hours into a 30 hour event
It's not about whether he was right or not. It was the stick he was getting. And not just him either. It was just nasty.

I just want to know if those calling out the likes of @Ian Docwra as a troll or a pessimist because he dared to say this moving more SE than projected, are going to apologise this morning. Some of it was ridiculous.

Went back a read this thread over the past 24hrs and reading what was expected to what we are actually getting now it's a bit a a disappointment to say the least.

It's that time of the year again that we start looking towards that slow descent into Autumn (and W*****).
As the berries ripen and the sun lowers in our sky, let us begin to dream of what may come.
