The same circular, pointless arguments we have every summer and winter. You'd have thought you lot would be bored of it by now!

It's that time of year again when we can start looking forward to the calm mellows and yellows of Autumn. One of my favourite times of year and the very beginning of the descent into the Winter months.
For those of you not quite into the current Summer set-up, maybe this can be the place you dream of when it's all over and can settle into being just a tad more comfortable.
I'll let ol' Willy Shakespeare give it his eye:
"That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang …"- 8

Solstice is here, Autumn will soon be approaching.

Although I love the Summer and I'm thoroughly enjoying this seasonal weather we're currently experiencing. I've still got one eye on the decent into the Autumn period. From the 26th of this month in my part of the woods, the slow decent towards Winter begins.
For someone like me, who enjoys what all seasons bring, my favourite has to be after the summer solstice, the sites and smells of Autumn, I can't wait!

No you didn’t. You implied by saying ‘I don’t understand why people want hotter weather’ as taking a dig at folk who enjoy warmer summer weather, instead of the mediocre conditions most summers of recent years seem to throw at us.

You don't understand why i love dank cold foggy weather for instance but i do, but i don't jump on folk as yourself who hate it when you post your dislike of it do i? No.
Are you two still at it?! It seems like this little spat has been going on for years now. Maybe put each other on ignore?

Model thread died a death! So is the snow a bust?

Can I just say, the cold can just go away next week! Just when the warmth starts to show its face, the horrible cold has to creep in.
Just replace the snowflake swear words with actual swear words and you'll get where I'm coming from.

I'm praying that this is just a blip and the models are gonna do a major flip back to this glorious weather we've had over the past couple of weeks.
The whole of Autumn and Winter I was waiting for cold and snow. It's Spring now, the cold can do one!

Surely it's time for this thread now. The season of new life, longer days and a warmer sun.

I have to say- many peoples who said this was a life threatening storm? I’d hate for you guys to witness an actual hurricane in America!
There has been nothing so far other than a few trees down/roofs over the 02 down land a bit of snow?
I dunno man don’t attack me, I just feel like this isn’t half as bad as expected…. Yet? Maybe?

Maybe time for a spring thread? Looking forward to a bit of warmth in my life now.

Well, I can definitely hear the Spring song calling me from the distance. This Winter is becoming a drag. When even frost is hard to come by, you know it's been pants!
Let's hope that we have a nice warm Spring time to look forward to.

A lot colder than forecast on the way home from work just now. Thick frost on the car and temperature showing -2.
Wasn't expecting that!

Been a loooong Winter in these parts with little weather of interest. The days on end of gloom has really taken its toll on my interest.
I'm now starting to get that little twinge in my bones for a bit of spring warmth. I don't usually get that until the last 3rd of Feb!
Come on Winter! Give us Southerners something to remember!

All this rain! Imagine if it had all been snow.

Imagine if we were seeing the below chart for a weeks time, we would all be drooling about prospects moving forward.... but that was this mornings NH profile. To see the heights drain away from Greenland so quickly is really quite remarkable. But as @bluearmy mentioned above, we could be back on the chase within the week, so stock up, relax and enjoy the festive period with your loved ones.
Finally, thanks to the forum mods who do a brilliant job of trying to keep order in here when things get 'emotional'. It's a thankless task but they really help make this the best weather forum on t'internet.
Merry Christmas to you all, even those I have on ignore
That chart has so much potential. Pity we know where it's headed.

Hopefully a few people have learnt their lesson over chasing day 10 charts. I personally thought the forum has been horrible for the past couple of weeks.
Maybe after a few days off with some sober heads, the forum might come alive again.

I give the models about 80% right now for Christmas day.

Most are still there, but they get drowned out. I suggest you make use of the ignore list, as it is much easier to read the thread. I personally like to read what BlueArmy and CreweCold have to say, because although they want a certain outcome, they don't overstate the chances of it.
I've got loads on ignore. Can't keep up with the influx of ott posts though.

Some people need a day or two cool off in the other thread.
Where are all the decent posters from days gone by?
I know the Model thread has always been a bit trying during Winter in the past, but it seems hyper annoying this year!

The heat haters club 2022
in Spring Weather Discussion
Posted · Edited by Seasonal Trim
I'm no Sun hater, but I don't like any extreme heat. 20-25° is fine, over 25° is hot. Anything over 30° is too extreme for me, so I'm definitely not looking forward to Sun-Tues.
BRING ON THE RAIN!
