  1. I'm stuck with Jeff Stelling and co, Forest will no doubt lose again. Peterborough will outscore us comfortably
  2. Tentative signs apparently that we may see some colder weather as mid January approaches. Quite windy but ridiculously mild for the time of year out there today. I suppose the sensible in me says if we can't have bitter cold and snow then we may as well have ridiculous mild which allows the heating to be off through the day and washing out on the line rather than on hot radiators! Enjoy the rest of the festive break folks!
  3. I thought for a minute I'd drank so much that I was seeing double. Damn you Isolated Frost! I'll have to have some more drink now
  4. The charts are starting to show a little interest for cold weather fans in FI. Nice of them to give us something to cling to for the big day!
  5. Some heavy rain showers passing through the region at the moment which appear to be accompanied by some gusty winds! Merry Christmas to everyone. Here's hoping for a huge shift in weather pattern for the first few months of 2012
  6. But it's true though, Mr Data does go missing over Christmas. Must be the sherry! :smilz38: Well a mild Christmas will at least allow heating bills to be cheaper for the time being. As already mentioned, patience is required ...
  7. Yes TWS, some parts of the UK will be twenty degrees warmer this year compared to last, quite remarkable really all things considered!! I have a sneaking suspicion that this winter won't deliver much more than we've already experienced, which will be a bitter pill to swallow after the last two winters. Never mind, what will be will be. I still think we should count ourselves lucky to live in an area of the world which delivers all weather types in varying quantities. The weather can't and won't please the Brits all of the time.
  8. The last two winters have really delivered for us in Newcastle. As you say, it's a mare if you have to be out and about in it or are worrying about relatives and their travel. But we all seek the holy grail and yearn for those flakes to fall from the sky!
  9. Bloody ridiculous Alza! Hoping something can turn up out of the blue (no pun intended) on the models. Mid-January might be our first port of call at this rate! I'm off to Huddersfield for the night on the 27th and was hoping when I booked the hotel 2 months ago that I'd see some wintryness up there. Guess not.
  10. My oh my, what a difference 12 months makes! This time last year we'd had some fabulous model watching, lamp post watching and more frosts than we could shake a stick at. We're now back into 'even larger teapot' territory with at least the next two weeks practically written off in terms of cold and snow. I haven't had the heating on at all today for the first time for a good few weeks!
  11. I think Christmas will take most peoples minds off the fact that the weather won't be a seasonal as we'd all like! To be honest I get a bit sick of Ian Brown's posts, not because he ramps up mild weather but seems to forever paint an OTT picture of what may or may not happen! Anyway, a milder Christmas will at least allow us to ease up on the heating bills for a little while.
  12. Well certainly no more snow on the horizon for some time if the models are to be believed.
  13. Oh dear, never mind. I'm sure once the little one arrives you can let your hair down and your mister will take you out for a good drink haha!
  14. In terms of past model history, does our current model outlook lean towards a more favourable outcome (in terms of a colder evolution) are we likely to see a continuation of what we're already experiencing? The reason I ask is because I'd be interested to know what maybe January and February MIGHT have to offer us.
  15. It's gonna be another chilly one tonight then! Just dropped the wife off at her Xmas Do, frost starting to form in Newcastle now. Aaah, whatever the weather, this time next week will be having a few sherbets and awaiting a Chinese takeaway ahead of the big day. Don't you just love Xmas?!
  16. For crying out loud you're poo at guessing games Forest!! I'm from Nottingham. Right, before you start I know we're shafted this season so don't rub it in! Quite a turnaround for you guys under Mowbray so far this campaign.
  17. Nope, wrong! As I said I am going back to the season before last mind!
  18. Haha, wrong. But I'm not a Geordie so that throws it open! It was a free kick on a very cold Saturday in November! If we can't have the bitter cold of this time last year I have to say this weather will do me just fine for now. I obviously hope January onwards will see us looking east or north east ...
  19. For God's sake!!! I went to the Riverside as an away supporter! Now try again :smilz38:
  20. I went to Boro away a couple of years ago. It was cold enough to snow but it left trouser leged it down with rain, we maintained our unbeaten away record and a Welshman scored for us. Can you guess who I support?!
