  1. 26.6mm as of 11:30. Might not seem like that much, but that makes it the wettest day of the year here. Edit: 26.8mm for the day.
  2. Gonna be a little windy, by the looks of it.
  3. Ming be interesting to watch: Quite a lot of agreement currently that Humberto may swing towards, or close to the UK. It will have turned extratropical long before it gets to us, but just look at the intensity readings:
  4. Ingrid, IIRC. Looks as though we have TD Ten now, set to reach Tropical storm status for a while before making landfall in a few days.
  5. NHC going for a peak at 90mph maximum sustained winds, with a 20% chance of it becoming a category 2. Not that anyone should trust them after how badly they botched up their hurricane season prediction.
  6. TD Nine has formed, and looks like it possibly will become the first hurricane of the season.
  7. The system just off of the coast of Africa has 20% chance of development in 48 hours, but an 80% chance in the next 5 days.
  8. Temperatue onle 12.3C here, need a jumper on outside for the first time in a long time.
  9. Very interesting read Coast. I wasn't aware that this season was anything other than just rather quiet, not potentially record breaking. Not looking too good for 99L now. While it was looking good last night, it is still at a 50% chance this morning, and there isn't long before landfall.
  10. The invest just north west of the Yukatan Peninsula could become a tropical depression before landfall. NHC currently saying it's 50%, but it looks like it is becoming more organised. A recon has been sent to investigate it. Landfall isn't that far away, so if it's going to intensify, it better do so quickly.
  11. Temperatures peaked at 27.4C here today, warmer than expected. Overnight low was 9.7C. A max/min difference of 17.7C in a day isn't something that happens a lot.
  12. Temperatures hit 25C today, despite an overnight low of 10C, and a very foggy start. The rainfall looks like it may cause some problems the weekend. The ground around here seems quite dry.
  13. Awfully muggy outside at the moment. Temperature's only at 19C, but DP at almost 16C. Very sticky, despite the fact that it isn't overly hot outside.
  14. A couple of areas where delevopment is possible, but unlikely over the next 48 hours. 1 has a 20% chance of cyclone formation in the next 5 days, and 2 has a 30% chance. I may be wrong, but it looks like the CMC wants to make something out of the second wave.
  15. Temperatures peaked at 24.7C today - Warmer than anticipated for the third or fourth day in a row. Still hovering at 21C outside now, feeling very nice outside and only a few low clouds to spoil the picture.
  16. Only 20C here at the minute but it is feeling much warmer. Humidity is at 70% and DewPoint at 14C is making it feel rather uncomfortable.
  17. So much bickering... Did I accidentally click on the model thread? Temperatue is still hovering around 20C now after a daytime high of 26C. Going to be a sticky night tonight I think.
  18. The temperature got to an unexpected 25.6C here today. If there was less high cloud I expect it may have gotten a tad higher, but I can't really complain!
  19. The last update from the NHC show that the system has become more organized in the last few hours, and the likelyhood of tropical cyclone development in the next 48 hours is now at 70%
  20. That was a bit of an unexpected turnaround. Up until 2:30 this afternoon temps here were below 17C. The sun came out, and now around an hour later it is touching on 23C. Feeling quite pleasant outside now.
  21. Invest 95L now has a 60% chance of becoming a tropical system in the next 48 hours. It won't be over water for much longer, but we might see Tropical Storm Fernand form before landfall?
  22. I think it must have been. A few A*'s, a couple of A's and a few B's. Can't say I'm dissappointed.
  23. Temperatures hit 26.1C here today when the sun came out, a lovely day to find out my GCSE results. It looks like the next week will be quite warm and sunny too, apart from Saturday.
