    Heavy snow shower here giving a dusting again!.

    Some heavier showers moving south from northern England now.Cant see much more than a dusting here though if anything at all.Think this must be the warning that is in place by the met office.

    Clear skies here in Derby with no sign of snow.But the wind has picked up remarkably in the last half an hour now feeling bitterly cold.

    Still a covering of snow here and it was raining when I woke at 7.As I left for work at 7.30 it had turned to sleet and I as I arrived at work in Derby there are big flakes of snow mixed in with the heavier bursts.The faintest covering of snow still left in Derby.Temp 1.5 degrees

    The last few showers through the Cheshire gap seem to be more of sleet now with snow being pushed more to the eastern flank.But snow in Stoke is an encouraging sign.

    The showers to the north of me are constantly dying out before they get to me.moving very slowly SE.if I don't get anything I can't see anything making it to you guys.Sorry to put a dampener on things!!

    I've watched 3 heavy snow showers move through the Cheshire gap over Manchester and the peaks,only to fizzle out by the time they reach here.We've had a dusting of snow in the last few hours but still a fair covering from last night.

    A dry clear start to the day with a fresh snow cover of around 2 inches.A dry day with a slight thaw until a heavy rain shower around 4pm.The last few hours have seen a few light snow showers giving a dusting again.Very icy again with melting snow now all frozen.

    Been snowing here since 18.00 hrs and seen more gritters tonight than in the whole winter so far!!.Light snow but with the occasional moderate fall.Settling on the grass but struggling on the pavements and cars.Think it could well turn to rain within the next hour though and all be gone by morning.

    A bitterly cold morning with a covering of frozen snow and ice.Just the slightest dusting of fresh snow from an overnight shower.Clear skies and no breeze at all.

    Could well be power lines,the telephone lines outside the bedroom window are lower than the window here,caked in a good few cm of ice.Looks like they could snap anytime soon.and still the snow continues to fall.

    Snow more or less stopped here now.Probably got around 5cm at best,not that I'm complaining.Wind has really picked up though.
