  1. Bargoed still snowing.... its a bit of a messy forecast not sure if I'll have to walk to Blackwood later to get my missus! Hour walk each way with a bad leg! Jk
  2. It's snowing in Heath, Cardiff now - just outside my office - quite heavy shower so some evaporative cooling going on! JK
  3. Sowed here in Gilfach Bargoed - now turned to rain - ridiculous! JK
  4. Looking at the radar Jay 'if' anything occurs it would be early morning - can't see much in the current direction of the showers down the south/south eastern corner until early morning - and even then - they might die out. Typical in this direction of flow. JK
  5. Again.... trying to get a few more followers I expect. His last quoted tweet was quite wrong for NW Europe. JK
  6. Gritter just gone down my street and we wonder why councils have no money. It's drizzling, not even cold (4.5 °C ). Things still not looking good for the last chances of real snow as we close February out - these winters are getting worse. JK
  7. As expected, nothing from this 'cold' spell - not even cold - average temps! Mild coming through midweek as well, give up now - held out a little hope with it fluctuating so much, but not anymore. Look for some spring temps now rather than damp, grey average rubbish. JK
  8. All change 'to' or 'from' snow?
  9. I think it's gonna be too warm Saturday Andy, it looks like the low is coming in a little too far north for us and we are not getting into the cold winds/air. Obviously do not need a lot of deviation to allow the colder air but you would have thought the forecasters would be pretty close to the track at this close range? Sunday looks too dry and next week looks to be benign for us.... they are saying cold but it doesn't look that cold, more average. JK
  10. and I was jokey in my response - there was a card joke in there! JK
  11. Rubbish.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/35556714?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_weather&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=news_central JK
  12. A tweet from Derek: @DerekTheWeather 2 minutes ago Reduced rainfall in S #Wales tomorrow. 10mm or less. Some sleet/snow on ground ~200m 650ft and higher but not much. JK
  13. I don't think that is on the cards (excuse the pun ) any longer..... JK
  14. Last night, frosty night - didn;t drop below 3.5 °C - considering it was supposed to be frosty - can't be correct within several hours! Now Saturday 'mostly' rain, a little back edge snow in south east, Sunday is now a benign day hovering at an average of 6°C. February rapidly ending, JK
  15. I agree Jay, even though it's changing all the time, the milder solutions seem to be coming to the fore all the time. If it stays cold we get dry air. Really unfair. I know people are saying wait and see and Andy is trying his best to keep up morale but it's wearing even more thin when cold air/snow is being put on our 'radar' and yet again keeps being shoved away/changed. Great winter - not! JK
  16. Yes agree, most of the charts are not showing anything other than normal average winter weather - not any significant sway to snow as some people have been mentioning last 24 hours. Think that the last dice has been thrown. However, it certainly isn't boring today but rest of the week is benign and then wet again, just rain. Towel - gone! JK
  17. Latest GFS 18Z not wanting any of the snow in the south on Tuesday JK
  18. Wow - nowhere near peak yet - and already, this wind is quite frightening. Agree with Andy, a noisy night is coming !! JK
  19. Not much in the way of snow looking at the Beeb chart just now lads - the air looks like it 's staying in a less mild flow Time is ticking away now.... JK
  20. Traditionally these tend to go more over the border towards Midlands but the ones that do come to South East Wales tend to fizzle out. Hope the latter is not the case tonight and indeed hope the former doesn't occur either! Channel 5 forecast is having none of it for Wales tonight JK
  21. Nasty little prolonged effort here in Gilfach Bargoed - nearly 30 minutes now, temperature down to 1°C. So I get to see snow in November but yet the winter will slowly whittle away and no more to be seen! JK
  22. Thanks for the input guys, apparently my post earlier someone took offence at my attitude. Wish you all good luck but after 11 years on this site that is the final straw, I won't post up any more - even though only in here was the only place I posted. Good luck all, JK
